Finding Joy This Christmas
This time of year, we often stop and mourn those that can't be with us. We dwell on how Christmas won't be the same. We look at Christmas past so much that it takes away the joy we could find this Christmas. With each passing Christmas, we find that someone else won't be near, and sometimes that leaves us struggling to find joy.

Windy Wednesday: Windy 2 (Chapter 28)
Jason “What are you doing?” I heard a growl come from the main door. I looked up to see Ryan at the door. “Nothing that concerns you,” I growled back, letting the words come deep from within my chest. “If it concerns Windy, then it concerns me.” Ryan stepped closer. He looked at Windy and... Read More

Windy Wednesday: Windy 2 (Chapter 27)
“What do you want for breakfast?” Jason asked. I laughed, “I thought you didn’t cook breakfast.” He wrapped his arms around me, pulling me close. “Shhh, don’t let the secret get out,” he whispered in my ear sending shivers down my spine. “I’m making breakfast just for you.” I arched an eyebrow. “This will be... Windy Wednesday: Windy 2 (Chapter 26)
“How could you?” Ginger yelled at me. We were in her office. The office, usually well kept, had papers scattered like confetti throughout the space. My insides twisted with unease. “I didn’t do anything.” She was enraged when she called and told Dan that I needed to get here as fast as possible. Jason, Dan,... Read More

Windy Wednesday: Windy 2 (Chapter 25)
I was dreaming again, the same dream I had several times before. It was dark and I knew I was in the hallway covered with glass. Like the times before, I had a hard time maneuvering around the broken shards. As I exited the hall, I felt the invisible weight fall on me, making it... Read More

Windy Wednesday: Windy 2 (Chapter 24)
“Why?” Dan yelled at us. Balling his fists at his sides in frustration, “Why did y’all leave?” I was looking at Jason and waiting for him to respond, but he had nothing. We were still shocked from the night before and left wondering who needed to die. “We went out. Together.” I finally responded. “Yes.... Read More

Windy Wednesday: Windy 2 (Chapter 23)
“The only explanation is that he comes and visits Kate after he is done with whatever else he is doing,” I said to Jason. “We followed him and he didn’t come to her house.” “But what if he was trying to get us off his trail by taking a different way?” Jason said weighing the... Read More

Windy Wednesday: Windy 2 (Chapter 22)
“I know it sounds hard to believe,” I said into the phone receiver. “Yes, I understand why you don’t want to hand over the stone.” Sota Akita from the Asian Society was giving me reason after reason as to why she wouldn’t hand over the stone she possessed. With each argument she presented, the more I... Read More

Windy Wednesday: Windy 2 (Chapter 21)
We were sitting at the table going over the plan one more time before we left. “Jason will be with you, Windy,” Dan said, pointing to the both of us. “Ryan, Doug, and Steve will be with me. While you are showing the council what you can do, we will go into her office and... Read More

Windy Wednesday: Windy 2 (Chapter 20)
It was barely nightfall and I was exhausted. Sitting on the back porch, I could hear the waves crashing, one after the other. The wind raced across my bare arms and face leaving chill bumps that did little to faze me. Earlier I tried to use wind to manipulate earth, but it proved to be... Read More
