Falling for Clear Creek — Official Trailer Drop
Okay, this is officially the coolest-craziest thing I have encountered as a writer! I’ve been building this world after long shifts at the landfill where I work full time and this trailer is the first time Clear Creek steps out of my head and onto your device like a movie! I’m sorry, WHAAAAA!!!!!
I was at work closing up, and then I glanced over and there it was.

Where the Chaos Has Taken Us
If you’ve been following along with my Clear Creek journey, buckle up, because the last few weeks have been… a lot.
The kind of “a lot” where you wake up tangled in a quilt, sprint down Main Street, get swallowed by a diner rush, and somehow end up on a town gossip board ...
So, you know. Normal small‑town stuff.
The diner is officially running on caffeine and Darcy’s sheer willpower. Marvin is still late, Luke is still the coffee wizard, and Marlene is still convinced she’s the mayor of everything.
And then there’s Fall Fest.
Clear Creek has become this strange, cozy, meddling family room where everyone knows your business before you do.
But here we are.
And honestly?
I think Jen's exactly where she's supposed to be — messy, overwhelmed, caffeinated, and building something real with the people who showed up for her before she even knew she needed them.
More chaos soon.
Clear Creek doesn’t slow down, and apparently… neither do I.
We also have a cover reveal coming Sept 1 :) Stay tuned at nettyshererauthor.com or here!

Clear Creek Writing Update
Hi friends!
I wanted to pop in with a little update on where I’m at with Book One of my Clear Creek small‑town romance series.
I’ve officially finished drafting Chapters One and Two, and I’m deep into Chapter Three now. Jen has arrived in Clear Creek, survived her first night (barely), met Virginia’s sunshine‑chaos energy, and had her very dramatic introduction to the town’s “everyone shows up for everything” culture. Yes, including a grassfire. Yes, the entire town watched. Yes, she drooled on herself. Yes, she’s already gossip.
Trevor’s POV is coming together beautifully too. He’s calm, steady, and quietly noticing far more than he lets on. And Chapter Three has one of my favorite moments so far: Jen daydreaming about him while Virginia talks a mile a minute… right before he walks in the front door.
I’m having so much fun building this world, and I can’t wait to share more with you as I go. Thank you for being here while Clear Creek comes to life.

Building Clear Creek
Today was one of those magical author days where the world in my head finally started becoming a world on paper. I spent the afternoon deep in the heart of fictitious Clear Creek, shaping the town, the people, and the threads that will eventually tie all five books and the companion cookbook together.
Clear Creek has lived quietly in my imagination for a long time, but today it started to feel real. I worked through the foundations of the town: the cozy small town setting, the community traditions, the families who’ve lived there for generations, and the small everyday moments that make a place feel like home. I started sketching out how each couple’s story will overlap, how friendships will weave through the series, and how the town itself becomes a character.
I also spent time thinking about how the cookbook fits into everything. It isn’t just a bonus book; it’s part of the heartbeat of Clear Creek. The recipes come from the characters’ kitchens, the gatherings they attend, the comfort foods they rely on, and the traditions that bring the town together. It’s the flavor of the world, literally and emotionally.
There’s something special about building a place where love grows slow and steady, where people show up for each other, and where every season brings its own story. Today was the first real step in bringing Clear Creek to life, and I can’t wait to share more as the journey continues.
If you’re here reading this, welcome to Clear Creek. We’re just getting started.
