Kristen Elise, Ph.D. was born a scientist and decided at an early age to earn a living as one. A professional drug discovery biologist and life-long travel addict, Kris takes the inspiration for her novels from discoveries made both in and out of the laboratory.

Kris' work as a cancer drug hunter converged with a research trip through Italy to spark her debut novel. Once ignited, The Vesuvius Isotope erupted like the volcano itself - sending Kristen Elise and her readers on a global quest to investigate several non-fictional mysteries that have endured for more than two thousand years. Thanks for reaching out. I AM. It's a sequel to The Vesuvius Isotope, set about five years later. It has returned to the historical/archeological theme that you saw in Vesuvius, although there's also a medical/science component similar to that in The Death Row Complex. I'm *hoping* to get a first draft finished in the next ~3 months, and with any luck, I'll be publishing it next year (biting nails.) But these things always end up taking me longer than I think they will! Thanks for asking!(less)

A.G. How it started.
A.G.
Yes, I was 84 when 'Who's Killing All The Lawyers,' the first book of the series was published by Savant Books and Publications, Hawaii. I worked through years of rejections by various agents and publishers. I started a second book. Years passed. Finally, book five was finished. The five books I now call ‘Koski and Falk books,’ staring Susan Koski and Joseph Falk as the protagonists in each story. They work for an American black ops group, and travel the world on assignment. Both Koski and Falk carry out their assignments similar to the SOE agents I met in Vienna after World War 2 ended, and the Cold War began. SOE is Special Operations Executive, a British agency set up during the war to parachute (drop) operators into occupied France to organize and supply French Underground workers against the Nazi invaders. Several of my unit was taught various methods of SOE procedures. Among them, being trained to hunt down Nazis attempting escape by pretending to be civilians in Austria. This included patrolling the countryside on skis, and working and walking the streets of Vienna. Koski and Falk are based on the man and woman who were our instructors.
I will always remember them.
A.G.Hayes.
