“When I was 5 years old, my mother always told me that happiness was the key to life. When I went to school, they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I wrote down ‘happy’. They told me I didn’t understand the assignment, and I told them they didn’t understand life.”

“Any man who keeps working is not a failure. He may not be a great writer, but if he applies the old-fashioned virtues of hard, constant labor, he'll eventually make some kind of career for himself as writer."

“You must write every single day of your life... You must lurk in libraries and climb the stacks like ladders to sniff books like perfumes and wear books like hats upon your crazy heads... may you be in love every day for the next 20,000 days. And out of that love, remake a world.”

So, after spending time working with real editors while The Last Ranger of Sarn was being produced, I realized what a disservice I did to my first books. With renewed effort and lots of new knowledge, my Trilogy of the Free People has been rewritten as The Trials of the Clans with each story carefully edited and punched up. Things that I wished I had done the first time around are now in place. Suggestions that friends and other writers mentioned are also in place, bringing the stories to their full potential. In particular, the 2nd book, The Stormrider does exactly what the middle book is supposed to do. It bridges the beginning and ending of this epic story by bringing underlying elements closer to the light and ending or beginning them so that the entire story flows through time much better. If anyone wants to read or reread my labor of love, I'm more than willing to hand free copies in exchange for reviews. Just send me a message and they're yours.
I am so pleased to announce the launch of my new website today. My writing career is about to take off (hopefully) and it was time for me to get a big boy website. Please, stop by and sign up for the newsletter and even more important, join the member's area for previews and other neat stuff.www.edireland.net
Yeah, I don't keep myself in the broom closet either. We're moving to Florida soon and we hope to get a metaphysical shop up and running. We plan on being very vocal in the community...we're both hard-headed.While none of my books openly say Wicca, all of us can recognize it easily.
