Looks like this will be live by September 23! It is an exciting conclusion to Iris and Ryan's story, and I think you all will love it!

In the meantime, I have entered the book in a giveaway, and have uploaded an excerpt, so check it out!

Third Book

There have been quite a few people asking me about my third book. I am humbled and flattered to know that so many people care enough about Iris and Ryan to want to know what happens next. It seems that many of you have really connected with them and their crazy journey, and, for that, I am extremely grateful.

For those of you wondering, you will be happy to know that I have about 7,000 words of the third book underway! My target date for publication at the moment is around the first week of October. I will definitely keep my readers posted here on this blog when I know a bit more.

This will be the last book centered around these two characters, for the time being, at least. At any rate, I promise I won't end this one in a crazy cliffhanger!

At any rate, I'm trying to figure out what my next series should be about. Maybe a YA centered around Dalilah, or erotica featuring Nick and Alexis. Or, maybe something completely different.

I'd love to hear from my fans about this. If any of my secondary characters are interesting enough for their own series, let me know! What is about them that resonates? Leave me a message here or on Ask Annie Jocoby here on Goodreads.

In the meantime, look for my updates as the story progresses.

My fans rock! :)

Oh, if only real life men could be like our book boyfriends....

Another day, and another blow-out fight with SO. He's not my husband, even though we've been together for six years. Not even close, much to my chagrin. But that's neither here nor there right now.

I have so many issues with this guy, and it occurred to me that I created the character of Ryan to provide me with some sort of escape from my problems I have with him. He's controlling, temperamental and a big baby. He's like a lot of the romantic heroes, only he's not going to change with the power of love. Of course, he can also be gentle, sweet, protective and strong, so he's not totally awful.

So, I am off to work on Book Three, to bring me back with the one man who consistently brings me happiness - Ryan. If only I could meet an actual Ryan....Sigh.

Beautiful Illusions

Well, here goes. This is actually my first blog. I wrote two 100,000 word novels in the span of less than six months, but I haven't actually had the guts to blog. LOL.

Anyhow, I wanted to thank my readers, first and foremost. For everybody who read my books, Beautiful Illusions and Deeper Illusions, or will read them - you rock!

I wanted to give some insight on how I created the characters. Iris is based upon me, except for in the second book, when I gave her a backstory that wasn't mine (thank god for that!) But, in the first book, she was all me. Insecure, unsure, bullied. Me.

Ryan, on the other hand, was part my wanting to create a dream man and part a reaction to books I read where the main male character is misogynistic and controlling. I wanted none of that - I have dated plenty of men who were both of those things, so why would I want to write about that? I really don't want to read about that, either. Too depressing.

So, I deliberately made him one of the nicest guys alive. Maybe he's too perfect, but it made me happy to create him, because I have a fantasy that a guy like that actually exists. Patient, kind, loyal, sensitive, great in bed, strong, masculine, intelligent, funny. Would go to the ends of the earth for his lady love. Smoking hot and rich are the icing on the cake here. What I love about Ryan the most is that he is just such a good guy.

Those who have read the book know that there is more than meets the eye with this guy, of course. Has to be, otherwise a great guy like that would be kinda boring to the reader. But I also like that he is working on his issues, not taking them out on the world.

Anyhow, I am in love with Ryan. I hope that my readers feel the same! And I am going to miss him so much when I finish my next book, which will probably be the last that centers around these particular characters. After all, I put them both through hell and back over two books, and the third book probably will be more hell for them. What more can I do to these two before the readers start saying "Oh,come on! Really?"

But, for now, I have my fantasy man. Hope he can become yours too!
