Death's Academy the book
Death’s Academy is the school where Grim Reapers go to learn how to be grim reapers. It’s like our high school and university mixed. They learn how to plan elaborate deaths and unique ways to carry out their jobs. And just like us, they get better positions or as they call them callings, if they do well at Death’s Academy.
So if you are a grim reaper, they prefer to be called hoodies, if you are a hoodie and flunk your classes, then you are going to end up being assigned to collect, put down, snuff out, whatever you want to call it, you're going to get assigned to “take care of” something like raccoons or tree sloths. Which as you can imagine wouldn't be that much fun. Whereas if you do really well, you'll get to put down Hollywood stars or famous musicians. Much more exciting. So there is a lot of pressure and competition at Death's Academy to do well to get the best jobs.
Because if you are a hoodie and you show up at a neighborhood block party and someone comes up to you and asks you what you do and you say something like. I snuff out chipmunks… chances are you're not gonna be impressing many of the ladies, or for you girl hoodies if you say something like, I put down parakeets.Well let’s just say your not gonna be winning any popularity contests or get invited to many girl’s nights out.
So for a hoodie, their entire happiness and self worth revolves around what happens at death’s academy. But there is also a nasty twist, because Death’s Academy isn’t like those community colleges or online schools that accept anyone that has a pulse, I should now I went to both of them, Death’s Academy has a nasty entrance exam, where you have to prove that you can come up with unique ways to snuff someone or something out.
So Death’s Academy is a story of an outcast hoodie named Midnight Smith who desperately wants to get into Death’s Academy, but while get prepared for his exam gets tangled up in an adventure that could mean the end of grim reapers for all time.
