The Commandant’s House in Silver Skin
The location where Helene and Miach meet with Finn in SILVER SKIN is a real place, The Commandant’s House in the Charlestown Navy Yard. This 1805 Federal Mansion is now administered by the National Park Service and used for meetings and events. The NPS also offers tours of the house from time to time.

While COLD IRON is obviously a work of fiction, the black market for antiquities is all too real. A newly discovered Anglo-Saxon site in Sussex has been “stripped of valuable artifacts by thieves.”

Cold Iron Earrings
Beth’s earrings in COLD IRON are delicate like these amazing creations by Nancy Fe. She makes beautiful lily-shaped pendants too. And on her website I found out that iron is the traditional gift for 6th wedding anniversaries. A Fae connection…?
