Allyson Craddock is an Isle of Wight author with a love of folklore, local history, old churches and the strange stories that linger in the places people have almost forgotten. Her writing is inspired by the landscape and legends of the Island, where centuries of history provide plenty of room for ghosts, witches, pirates and things that may be watching from the shadows.

She is the author of the *Church Grim* series, which follows Grim, a spectral black dog with amber eyes who has guarded his church and churchyard for centuries. Blending folklore, history and adventure, the stories travel through different periods of the Isle of Wight’s past while drawing on traditional British legends and supernatural beliefs.
