What do you think about inheritable genetic modification? The UK is pushing to legalize the first step (mitochondrail transfer) in manipulating DNA prior to conception. "Damaged" mitochondria would be removed from the egg cell and replaced with a third party donor's "normal" material. The baby would have genetic material from three parents, then pass these genes on to their offspring. This is the kind of "science fiction" found in Broken Paradigm.
