Shielding Her and what to expect for the rest of 2018

Welcome to my yearly Blog.  Yes, it has been that long since I wrote, and if this was a personal blog I would go on and on about all the things that have happened.  But I like my fans, so I try to give as little real life as I possibly can.  So right to the good stuff (which, as you know, is my way).
Shielding Her is out for pre-sale on Amazon Kindle, so Yay!
It is bittersweet to write this last of the series.  Eli is, as always, fun.  Though, once he meets Maggie he is a little more intense and serious than I am used to.  It was up to the rest of Lionsgate to pick up the slack in comic relief, but never fear, Ian was there, and if anyone (besides Eli, and possibly Ben) could keep me laughing it is Ian.
And before I get yet another angry e-mail asking me "what do you mean the series is over, what about the council enforcer Stryker, and Ian and Roxy?  What about them?  AND HOW WILL I SEE CLYTIE AND DEMONS BABY BORN?"
All excellent questions, so here is the answer.  I am doing a spin off for the Council Enforcers, only one of which you have met,  Stryker.  He's going to lead what amounts to a little rebellion against the council and he is going to bring along a few dangerous friends for the ride.  Do not be surprised if you see some familiar faces from Lionsgate in that series.  No idea on the date but definitely in 2019, which is also when the next Danu will be coming out.
Ian, Roxy, Liam, Crow and the new babies will be far in the future.  They have a little growing up to do.

In 2018 here is what is to come:
Shielding Her July 31st
Brax (last of the Tellox Trillogy) End of September (for Kindle-I'll have the pre-sale link up fairly soon)
Truthsayer (Distant Worlds Book 5) Nov. or Dec. (Tyber, Lore and Kelia)

Depending on the time allowed I am also considering doing a another short Keeping her book along the lines of Marrying Her, where we revisit some of the characters, but I make no promises.  We will have to wait and see.  I can tell you it probably will not happen in the short time I have in 2018.  But, maybe.

Up Next in my world

Yes, it has been awhile.  Life is a many splendid thing and likes to kick us around sometimes, especially when mother nature seems to be in a vengeful mood, hopefully we all survived.
My writing has been slow going but I am happy to say Wind Called will be out this month.
And considering it is Lord Theron and Clare and what is basically the end of the Dragon Mage series I don't think you will be disappointed.
If you are a huge dragon fan and panicking at those words, stop. I am going to have a new series with the dragon knights coming so you will still get your fix, and see a whole lot of characters you recognize, and some new ones you do not. I am starting fresh with this series because the dragon knights are going to veer away from dragon politics so much and deal with what comes more as warriors, rather than the council we have been mostly dealing with.
Their focus is more warrior-like which if you are familiar with my books you know that this is my happy place.  Not to say the other dragons have not been warriors, and seriously sexy, but the back story that threaded through the series dealt with a whole lot of mage-dragon politics, and the changes happening around them because of this.  Wind called will mark the end of the old ways and a new beginning that will have it's own challenges.  I am also going to give myself some time to get a fresh eye on these books so that they don't all start sounding like the same story, which I hate when I am reading a series. So don't expect them any time soon.
Since you are all sooo curious about when you will see the next Keeping her Series book come out, I will reassure you that the next book to be written will be Shielding Her.  Which will take us back to the Island and full circle back to characters you met there in Claiming Her (and if you read Rebecca's book: At One's Pleasure).
When I have a better idea of when it will be out I will let you know.
After that I am going to see where my muse takes me.  Could be Tellox bound.  Could take me back to The Danu.  Could be something entirely new.  I will have books coming in those series, as well as the next Distant Worlds, and I will let you know my tentative schedule after I figure it out.  I am giving up scheduling too far ahead because I would rather work on where my imagination take me than try to force something.  I am independent writer with no publisher to answer to, there should be some perks.

Distant Worlds

Stealing Jax is coming soon and I am having a lovely adventure with all those distant worlds, alien characters and world hopping they like to do.  I have a serious soft spot for these characters, and I know some of you do to, so before you ask, yes! We will see more of all of them in up coming books.  Especially since by the end of this one a great many favorites have teamed up to bring down the elusive and much hated Cor Warrung.
But right now I am going to visit the Tellox for awhile, Morax has been calling me and I really need to rescue Megan and the dogs before I get any more angry e-mails telling me I can't abandon the dogs on Earth.  As if I would ever do such a thing to Sara and her sisters fictitious dogs.  what kind of a person do you think I am?
I am soooo looking forward to Morax and Megan.  This one will be a slightly softer version of Alien claiming, since they are a little more aware of what is happening before they are in the middle of the claiming, it is not quiet so out of control.  Morax is a darker character that Creeg, but Megan is pure softness all the way through, and that changes the dynamic significantly.  But I will warn you, if you are one of the people who hated Creeg with a fiery passion because he claimed Sara without regard to her wants and feelings, you might like Morax a little better, (not much, but a little) but you are positively going to despise what happens in book 3.
Because I am having way too much fun.

If you are waiting for the next book in any of the following Series:  Keeping Her, The Dragon Mage, Alpha Prime Commander, The Danu, or Little Town the wait continues, but if your series made the list, rest assured I have not abandoned them.  Next up after Stealing Jax and Morax?  My dragons.
Wind Called   What do you do, when the most powerful dragon/mage hybrid the world has ever known sacrifices himself to save the world, then begins to become the very darkness he almost died defeating?  Why, we throw in a mating heat he has no hope of conquering and a young stubborn mage named Clare, who refuses to give up on him.

Then, drum roll please, the story so many of you have asked about.  The next book in the Keeping Her Series, which incidentally is also connected to At One's Pleasure (and more than just a little).
Shielding Her   Eli is getting his book.
Eli and Margaret Whitney to be precise.  If the name sounds familiar, it should, you met her at her wedding in "At One's Pleasure," and as you can imagine, since her hubby was a douche-bag, things have not gone well for her.  Now she is back on the Island seeking sanctuary with her friend Rebecca from a powerful man who has no idea what he is about to take on when he brings trouble to this Island.  If you think Eli on pleasure island might be fun, wait until he meets super uptight and in need of some fun Margaret.  She's human,  she's in danger, and she just met the bodyguard hired to protect her.  What could possibly go wrong?

Is it just me, or do I have like the best job ever? :)
I will get you dates when I have them, but these should all be out before the end of the year, some sooner than others obviously.

Changes in the schedule for release

First of all I want to thank everyone who purchased Creeg, the first of the Tellox series.  I am excited to say it is now broke the Keeping Her series records in new release sales.  So, Yay!  The first question that seems to come frequently is when is the next Tellox coming out.  And the answer is:  Dec, 2017 hopefully.
The revised schedule for releases you can find at the bottom of this blog.  You will note, I have no doubt, that everything is being pushed back a bit.  Mostly because I have a family trip scheduled in April and I know myself well enough to know very little will be getting done around that time.  But Disneyland, Yay again!
Claiming Emma is out in print at Amazon.  And my producer is working on the Audio version as we speak so that should be out next month.  After that I will be releasing audio versions of the Keeping Her series one at a time, slowly but surely until all my books are out in Audible.  At least that is the plan.
Another frequent question is when is the Keeping Her, Dragon Mage, and next Danu (series) coming out.  Hopefully the schedule listed will answer most of those questions for you. If you don't see it, plan on 2018.
Before I get to that, I wanted to let you know that Stealing Jax is taking directions I did not plan on, which happens alot in my books.  When that happens I let the characters do what they want to do, and say what they want to say.  Hopefully the end product will be as fun to read as it is to write.  I love these characters, and I love that the characters from past books are also present and get to play through most of the book.  Lucan and Danika, and Barnos and Lara, not to mention Captain Tyber Relian and his crew are all part of the action.  Nori and Menelaus to a smaller extent.  (Unless the characters decide to change things up again.)

The release for this was going to be late March, then Early April, but I am looking at the schedule now and with editing I have to say, plan on May people.  I never give myself of the editor enough time when I look at the schedule on paper.  So that is more realistic.

Here is the tentative schedule  for 2017 releases: (give or take a bit)
Stealing Jax May 2017
Wind Called (Dragon Mage book 5) July 2017
Shielding Her (Keeping Her and At One's Pleasure cross over and Eli's story)  September 2017
Morax, The Tellox book 2 Dec. 2017

A Brand New Year and what to expect from me.

ll is well.  In case you were wondering I am still alive.  I had a few things come up in the last few months, like dominoes falling one after the other, not all bad, but definitely time consuming.  Much like, I'm sure, the rest of you have from time to time.  I'm not going to get into everything.  This blog is not going to be that long and I want to get to the good stuff.
Creeg is out for sale.   Here's the link: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01N13RWKC
This is the first of The Tellox series and I hope you like it.  I have been working on this story on and off for years.  No joke, I think I dreamed up the beginning scene between Creeg and Sara when I was still in College.  These characters are some of my all time favorites, and when I say that I mean Creeg and Sara, but also some you won't see but a mention of in this first book.  This is a science fiction alien abduction story.  Which only sounds weird when I try to describe it.  My cousin asked me what it was about and I launched into the detailed description until I realized her eyes were glazing over and she was looking quite pained.
Probably not for everybody.
However my fans are going to LOVE it.  I hope.
You'll have to let me know.  My thanks to my lovely volunteer Beta reader Jannie who read the book and liked it.  I love it when that happens.  Plus she found all the times I used peaked instead of peeked and spelled Crogans name wrong, etc.

And to the fans who constantly barraged me with "Well?!  Where is it?"  I love you guys.
One note I wanted to put in here.  If you have sent me a message through this website in the past and not gotten a response I apologize.  Apparently I was responding to myself and those emails I got were not just copies for my benefit but the actual messages I thought were going back to you.  I have changed the layout of my connection page.  If you want to contact me just email me directly at mail@kellylucille.com.  You can still sign up for my new release emails the same way just without comments, since I can't respond back to them directly that way.  Sorry about that.

Nook releases for Claiming Emma and Furee Born are this week so watch for those. Creeg will be 90 days from tomorrow.

Now, drum roll...  You wanted to know what comes next and when.  My release schedule is as follows:
For Amazon KIndle only.  Nook will be 90 days after.
Creeg Jan 2017  (obviously)
Stealing Jax March 2017   Distant Worlds book 4  (Tolan Lark and Jax)
Wind Called   The Dragon Mage Series book 5  (Theron and Clare)  May 2017
Shielding Her  (Eli's story)   Keeping Her Series (and At one's pleasure. This will occur mainly on the island) July 2017
Morax   The Tellox book 2
Also coming out this year in no particular order and as of yet without titles:
TBA (The Danu book 2)
TBA (The Alpha Prime Commander book 2)

Ideas I am playing with but do not have a solid time frame or premise yet are the following:
A second book in Little Town  (Claiming Emma)
A book short for the Keeping her series similar to Marrying Her.  We shall see.
And before you ask I do not have any idea when you can expect this or what precisely it will be about.

I will do my best to keep these to the schedule but I am still calling the dates tentative at this point.  I could get a wild hair and write something completely different. You never can tell with flighty writers.

I missed a deadline on one of my presales and had to push a book release back.  As some of you know.  So I lost presale privileges for a year on Kindle. So don't look for a presale link on my books but I will keep you posted via my website, email list. facebook and twitter.

Audible Books coming soon...
Presently working on Claiming Emma.
Next will be the Keeping Her series and then the rest one at a time.

Long Time Coming

Yes, it has been awhile since I blogged.  Sorry about that.  Things have been a bit hectic around here.
I took a month off from writing to work on my moms memorial garden and my cousin had her baby 7 weeks early so I ended up taking a bit more than that.  But I am back and I have released Claiming Emma, which has more than a little bit of my life hidden throughout the characters and pages of the book.  I am thrilled that it has received so many good reviews, especially since it was such a quick read.
Quick reads, as you know, are something I enjoy writing on occasion.  Many people have expressed interest in Little Town becoming a series.  I have not exactly decided yet.  I did put in some characters that may or may not be available for their own books down the line, or I should say they showed up in my writing, as usually happens in my stand alone's.  I will say that I plan on letting Hannah do a little growing of her own and then giving her and Lucy a happy ever after, other than that I make no promises.  (which means we will see Emma and Noah again for those who asked, but probably not in their own 2nd story.)
The book I am currently working on I have to rename because it has been titled "First Prime" since I started working on it ten years ago and that would be too confusing, since it is in no way associated with The Alpha Prime Commander.  Other than it is a Sci Fi Romance.  This one starts out on the Earth as we know it today, and not in a galaxy far, far, away.  Well, not in chapter one, anyway.  This has always been a series in the making, not a stand alone, so their will be more in the future.  I will attempt to get a sample and a blurb on my website about this book in the next week so you can get a feel for what to expect.   Since I expect it to come out in September, October at the latest you won't have long to wait.

After that I have Tolan Lark and Jax up for the next book in the distant worlds series.  I am not going to lie, I am looking forward to this one.  These two are going to be FUN.  Probably a November release, at least that is what I am shooting for.

I have a short read presently titled "Wolf Town" (shifters, not associated with Lionsgate)  that will be coming out in December and then the next in the Dragon Mage series in January, February at the latest.  Hopefully you still remember Lord Theron of Seatown and the Lady Clare.  The title is to be announced, but when we left them in Furee Born, Theron was going dark and Clare was coming into her own.

Then... the moment many of you have been waiting for most impatiently, Eli gets his story.  And in case the end of Hunting Her did not clue you in, this will be a Keeping Her book that happens on the "At One's Pleasure" Island where Demon and Clytie are attempting to have their honeymoon.  Expect things to get saucy.

The comings and goings

Spring is in the air, which means I can't breath, my sinuses are stopped up and everything itches.  gotta love those allergies.
Besides a constant sinus headache and wishing I could live in a bubble for just a few days I am also having a birthday, which I usually have no trouble with.  I like presents, and cake and a day that's all about me, so where's the draw back there?  But this year I am struggling with a few things.  My first birthday without my mom somewhere in the world, and at the same time I am trying to plan her memorial party and get Hunting Her finished.  Something had to give, so Hunting Her is being pushed back a month and my moms memorial is being changed to the end of June.   So if you are family reading this, watch for an invitation in the mail within the next week.
I am giving myself a little breathing room.
For my readers- I am making sure to get the editor I want on this book since The Danu had issues.  Trust me, you will thank me in the end.

In the mean time look for Hunting her May 30th, and enjoy the Spring with its new budding flowers and the scent of fresh cut grass.  Someone should.

The New Year has come and gone...

The big news in the new year is that I did some work on my website.  I added a page where you can check out a little of the writing process.  I put in all the random notes, and some not so random that I write (or look at) when I am working on a Keeping Her book.  I have the same thing for Distant Worlds and The Dragon Mage books, so if you are interested in that type of thing let me know and I will expand my pages to cover those series notes as well.  Eventually I want to have a backstory page for the different series I write but that is a long way off as of yet. We shall see.  People ask me all the time how I write.  Hopefully you like it.  Evernote is definitely my friend.
Furee Born is out and reviews are good, and my next book The Danu is coming out next month, which has a new excerpt if you are interested in a taste of that.
But what everyone is asking about is the next in the Keeping Her Series.  Hunting Her is coming out in April, and the one after that will be Eli's story (by popular demand),  who I would have forgotten totally if not for the reminders on Facebook.  I know, I can't believe I forgot Eli!
After Hunting Her I am starting a new series which is something of a combination of my different work.  Picture shapeshifters in space.  It sounds silly when I say it out loud but the stories are hot so I'm going to go with it.  Title to be determined.
So now you are all caught up and to finish this quick blog and get back to writing I am only going to add the usual coming soon list with probably dates.  As always any questions send them my way, either through Facebook, twitter, or on my connect page.

The Danu February 29
Hunting Her April 2016
First in the primal series (Name to be determined) Shapeshifters in space.
Stealing Jax July 2016 (distant worlds)

We'll just have to see after that.  :)

Merry Christmas

Tomorrow is Christmas Eve, all my presents are wrapped and under the tree, Furee Born is off to the editor and all is well.  I loved this book.  And in case you are wondering I am not seeing an early release, but if the editor is faster than I think I will get it out there for you.
I really loved Furee and Riva, they are right up there with General Solan Fire-Eater and Melisande as my favorite dragon couple, and that is saying something.  Though, I will say having a taste of what will come with Lord Theron of Seatown and Clare, I'm not sure how long they will hold the title.  Really looking forward to the next dragon book.  After, of course, I write Stealing Jax, and Hunting Her, not to mention a few others along the way.
Now, here I am thinking of the next book that I will be working on and trying to decide if I want to continue with the new fantasy book "The Danu" right now, or go with something completely different (having just immersed myself for months in dragon fantasy).  Hmmh, tough one.  I have been wanting to write "The Danu" for a very long time and the world I have started to build there is very cool, but I might go with the contemporary as a nice change of pace.
But you don't need to hear every working thought that travels the murky paths of my brain.  Suffice it to say when I get the pre-sale out on Amazon you will know which one is coming out next.  It will be one of the shorter stand alones.

Speaking of which, I have had quite a few requests for more of The Alpha Prime Commander books.  I have been playing with one about another of the Alliance soldiers (Tactical Officer Jus Bryant) that will tie in with the story already seen in the first book, but as of yet it is still on the drawing board.  If it does happen it will probably be 2017 or later.
I have received many great responses for Marrying Her and am thrilled everyone liked the wedding, and the hoopla that surrounded it.  And yes, Logan will be the next Keeping her book.  It will start for Logan where Craving Her left off and happen before, during, and after the Marrying Her timeline.  But there are a few books before we finally get to see Logan meet his match.
As usual I am going to include a tentative list of book releases at the end of this blog.  All dates for release are Kindle dates.  Sorry Nook readers but I always give the first 90 days to Amazon so I can take advantage of the Kindle Select advertising.  Nook is always 90 days after the kindle release in case you were wondering.  I book and the rest should be around that same time through Smashwords.
Print books I will announce as it happens.

January 2016      Furee Born  Dragon Mage Series Book 4
February 2016    The Danu  Fantasy stand alone
April 2016         Stealing Jax  Distant Worlds Series Book 4
May 2016          Stand alone to be named later
July 2016          Hunting Her   Keeping Her Series Book 6
August 2016      Stand alone to be named later
October 2016    Dragon Mage Book 5

I am going to have at least one more book out at the end of the year but I have not decided which.  Hope this year has been good to you, with better times to come.
Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays and have a great new year.

The Holidays approach

Every year the holidays approach and I am dying to write something with a Christmas theme, but by the time it usually starts to occur the timing would be all wrong for release.  Who wants to read a Christmas book in January?
I am thrilled to say that this year I planned ahead.  Not only did I plan (which I am very good at), but I also acted (which can be hit and miss).  And Voila, we have "Marrying Her. The Keeping Her Christmas Wedding."  Yay!
By now, most of you have read the book, but for the select few who are waiting for a brief moment of quiet time I will refrain from giving anything away.
BUT THIS IS HARD.  I want to talk about this book, not like a writer, but like a reader who had a great time in a story and has no one in which to say, "hey did you see that part where..."  It's like being in the car with a long drive ahead when my cousin Ariel says something crazy like: "I still need to watch the last season of Game Of Thrones."  And I can not express my outrage about John Snow on that long, loooong drive except to give her a heartfelt "Oh, yeah, you do!"
What in the world could you possibly be waiting for?
Anyway, I digress.
The point is Marrying Her was fun to write, and in a time where I was uncertain if I could write anything, let alone a Holiday book (something that made me feel good), writing this story was a blessing in many ways.  So thank you to my readers who asked for more Lionsgate, and specifically another dose of Demon and Clytie.  And for all of you who sent me your prayers and blessings at the passing of my Mother, especially for those who shared a little of their own sad stories, this one is definitely for you.  I hope you have as much fun reading it as I had writing it.

On another note.  The Alpha Prime Commander, which I thought was going to go really dark, didn't.  It was supposed to be a dark erotica but apparently I can't help myself so its turned into more of a sci fi adventure with a sprinkling of wry humor and alpha male bonding. Plus the heroine is kick ass.  Not to say the sex isn't hot, it is. But it's not dark, so forgive my false advertising.  Like the opening scene from At One's Pleasure, and the bar scene from Keeping Her, I wrote the scene where Jackson confronted Lo Cordan and was introduced to Lena years ago.  This story evolved from that.  Like Marrying Her it wrote itself, gave me much needed out of my head time and went quicker than anticipated. It's already back from the editor and will be releasing this month, rather than in November.
My schedule has not changed, so for release dates check out my last blog.
I have been writing so much my plans for my website have taken a back burner.  I still intend to expand the series pages with character histories and a few other things so keep checking back.  Plus excerpts from my upcoming books will be up soon as well.
I am off to re-read The Dragon Mage Series.  I am about to embark on an adventure with Furee and Riva I have been looking forward to since I met them in Web of Bones.  I just need to get back into the dragon mind set first.
