I’m the author of Still Here, Still Feral, a memoir about CSA, foster care, psychiatric institutions, addiction, homelessness, prison, love and rebuilding a life afterward.

I write about survival without cleaning it up for comfort. My work is raw, darkly funny and interested in the parts of trauma, recovery and becoming that rarely fit into a neat redemption story.

Online, I write as SmokeFromWithin, where I share stories about mental health, neurodivergence, prison, recovery and the strange business of becoming a person again.

If you like memoirs that are honest, messy, funny in the wrong places and still somehow hopeful, Still Here, Still Feral is probably for you.
