Richard Carr, Psy.D., is a clinical psychologist and writer of literary fiction exploring moral conflict, identity, and the quiet tensions shaping ordinary lives. His fiction draws on decades of listening to the human condition, from early research on stress and anxiety disorders to more than ten years treating trauma with the Department of Veterans Affairs, followed by clinical work in rehabilitation and elder care.

He is the author of A Stranger in Every House and lives on Long Island.
