For someone that doesn't have any children, I feel as if I know what it will some day (hopefully) be like. My novels have become my kids. I think about them all day long. I wonder how they are doing out there in the world. How are they being perceived? Are they being judged fairly? Are they being welcomed and accepted? But no matter what anyone else thinks, I love them with all my heart.

I am a high school English teacher; therefore, I get to teach and and discuss literature and writing all day long and it truly is rewarding. But nothing will ever be as rewarding as the feeling I get when I finish a page, a chapter, a novel of my own creation. ...more
