I finally get to officially announce that my new book, One Hundred Percent, will be out in February 2020! I'm so excited, I can't sit still!

We meet Miles and Trinity in Lying and I just loved them so much, they had to get their own book. FYI, it can be read as a stand-alone as I tried to keep spoilers for the Fighting series to a minimum.

I've labeled it as Ezra County #1 because I have plans for other books in the same county with characters we meet in One Hundred Percent. Stay tuned for announcements in the future on who the series will feature, but I can at least tell you the characters in the second book are first responders of some kind. What can I say? I'm an adrenaline junkie even inside the pages of a book.

One Hundred Percent will be up for pre-order on Amazon in the next few days, so keep your eyes peeled.

It totally slipped my brain to warn you that Lying does end with a cliffhanger.

I, myself, hate reading a book and expecting a HEA, or at the very least for all the loose ends to fix themselves, but then getting there and it's a totally unexpected cliffhanger. Sometimes it heightens my excitement and need for the sequel. But other times, when I had no idea the cliffhanger was coming and I have to wait for more story to soothe the burn, it can irritate me slightly. It's the only kind of warning I like before reading a new book because I can get impatient if I really want something. So I have to sincerely apologize to those of you who have already bought the book without the warning, but hopefully a balm to the burn is knowing the direct sequel will be out exactly one month from now.

I can go ahead and say that Confessing does not end with a cliffhanger.

Lying releases in about seven hours! I can't believe it's already here! You can still pre-order it, or simply wait until the wee hours of tonight/tomorrow morning, then read under the stars. Or under your desk at work tomorrow when the boss isn't looking, and the Office Bitch, Karen, is preoccupied with someone else's personal life. Whichever you prefer.

God, Karen's such a fickle bitch.

Just like last time, I figured I'd share some music I listened to while I wrote my books and read other fantastic books. My two favorite playlists are epic movie/game soundtracks for the action scenes, and some slow, sexy music for my favorite scenes, but I also listened to upbeat music, lazy music, etc.

Music always works wonders in sucking me into a different world and magnifying the magic of whatever I'm reading, especially when it's a book I've never read before. I can sit in a totally crowded cafe, but if I have my headphones, I'm in a different world.

I listen to some Pandora, and of course music I own, but I'm linking to my Spotify playlists so you can put your investigative skills to work and scope out what inspires me and puts me in exactly the right mood for what I'm writing/reading. This isn't all of my music, and I'm sure I'll add more and more as time goes on, so feel free to follow the playlists for your own listening. Or ignoring it altogether. You know, you do you.
