Laurie Jackson is currently enrolled in the BFA for Creative Writing for Entertainment program at Full Sail University. She is currently working on her youngest sister’s story about her battle with and loss to eye cancer. Laurie is a mother and a grandmother with a passion for writing for children. She holds a diploma for Writing for Children and Teenagers from The Institute of Children’s Literature. Laurie is a down to earth country girl and this is reflected in her writing.

Projects that Laurie is working on are a serial chapter book for middle grade, and a picture book for toddlers to preschool. She also has a comic book aimed for 15 and up, in the works.

The battle is over

This is Laurie’s husband Alex.

It is with a very heavy heart that I must say that Laurie has lost her battle with her brain cancer. At 4:30 am on Mar 14, 2017 Laurie passed away. She fought hard for 8 months (to the day) and suffered much. She is at peace now.
