Monday
To kick the week off, I thought I'd share a little bit of what I've been working on...
“Then he’s more of a dumbass than I thought.” He says right before the waitress returns with our drinks. I quickly take a long drink from my Diet Coke, studying him as she stands there to take our orders. He orders me the blueberry pancakes without asking. He’s shaking his head when she walks away. “You don’t believe me. Why? You’re a gorgeous girl, Grace.”
“I doubt you’re that shallow that you would date a girl just because you find her pretty.”
That dimple flashes again with his smile and I grab up the salt shaker again to keep from reaching out and touching the small indent of skin.
His voice is soft, sending goose bumps dancing over my skin when he says, “Oh, I can be shallow like everybody else. And I said gorgeous. Not pretty.”
Shit, that’s a good line. I might just melt into a puddle of goo at his feet.

Decision Time
I've been trying to find time to work on the new book I started in between working at my other job and making sure the kids don't starve, but I keep getting interrupted with ideas for a totally different book. I have a totally new set of characters, and then I have the start of book about Grace Marsh. Decisions, decisions, decisions.

Ready, Set, Vacation!
I am in major count down mode until vacation! To celebrate 10 wonderful years with my husband we are going on a cruise (with no kiddos!) So I need some suggestions on books to read while sitting by the pool. Ideas?

Update
I found a couple minor editing errors that I missed the first nine million times I edited the book. Spelling and grammar is so not my area of expertise! I've updated the book on both B&N and Amazon, although the Kindle update takes a little longer than I'd like. Regardless, I'm sure I still didn't catch them all, so hopefully you can overlook them and enjoy the story regardless!

Sleep
So, it's 12:30 AM, and in 3 hours my alarm clock is going to go off so I can wake my husband and my seven year old up and we can go stand on the back porch and watch the Perseid meteor shower. According to the research my husband has done (and he is a research fanatic!) 3:30 AM is the best time to see the meteor shower. And of course I can't sleep. I'm to busy reading Freefall by Tess Oliver, which I can hardly put down, and drinking Diet Coke, which certainly isn't helping my insomnia. It wouldn't be so bad if the two year old wasn't going to wake up at 5 AM wanting to cuddle on the couch and watch Mickey Mouse. It's a good thing he's cute.
