Writing Update: As many of you will have seen the final part of the Botolf Chronicles, Gadzooks Armageddon, is now available in EBook and print format, Temporal Tome (book II) has been re-sized to the new smaller print trim and a re-edited Cosmogonic Marbles (book I) will be available soon in EBook and re-sized Print format.

I'm on chapter 12 of Murder of the Alpha Centauri Express (sci-fi/murder-mystery novel) and still handwriting poetry for my 2016 collection. Some smaller side projects are my short stories (available on my blog and storymirror site), a Botolf-almost-Oxford Calendar and a few surprise pieces from my aunty Gertie (smile) ... so watch this space for more news on releases and writing and thank you all for your readership.

Writing Update

Just a short report this week: over the 50,000 word mark on Murder on the Alpha Centauri Express, really enjoying writing it, have cut down to 36 chapters from original concept of 40, due to storyline.

The Botolf Chronicles have been getting good reviews and feedback these last few weeks, the E-book trilogy will be available from December and the complete three novels in one print version will follow asap.
Hope to have a finished 1st draft of Murder on the Alpha Centauri Express for xmas as other projects are waiting in the wings.

Writing Update, today 7/12/15 sees the end of this phase of the Botolf (almost) Oxford Chronicles, with the publication of the complete trilogy in print form. It’s been a good year, trilogies completed, one novel (Gadzooks Armageddon) done, a poetry retrospective published and my first ever short stories also published.

I’ve made my plan out for 2016, which includes two brand new poetry collections (one of which I will self-publish on Amazon), my first new play since 2007, hitting main stream publishers with my new Murder Mystery novel and penning a second WarWorld novel. I’ve pencilled in some other smaller projects, which will hopefully entertain as the year goes on. Thank you to all my helpers over 2015 and a special thank you to the thousands of readers who have taken the time to get to know my work.

First Writing Update of 2016

Hope the start of the year finds you all well.

This year’s writing plan is underway, my crime novel ‘Murder on the Alpha Centauri Express’ is complete (1st draft) and in the editing stage, I’m working hard on my new poetry collection (which will be an amazon book) ‘A Human Veneer’, and will post a few poems from that soon, other side projects continue at pace, The Botolf (almost) Oxford Calendar, the Luddites Lexicon and my Radio script ‘Radio Mordor’, more news on those as the year goes on, meanwhile this is your last chance to grab a free eBook, Cosmogonic Marbles and introduce yourself into the Botolf world 

Writing Update: just a quick one this month, it’s been a stressful few weeks for reasons I won’t bore you all with here, but writing never stops, Murder on the Alpha Centauri Express is with my proof readers, I’ve started a new Botolf Short Story and the Botolf Calendar is available on my blog (just for fun) https://writerstevedownes.wordpress.c...…

I’m working hard on Human Veneer, my first full length collection of poems, which I’m hoping to have out as an eBook and Print sometime in April this year (more news on that later) …meanwhile enjoy whatever your reading and thank you for your readership.

The ideas and the projects are coming thick and fast this year, I have typed up 80 poems for the new collection Human Veneer (not all of them will make the final cut) and Murder on the Alpha Centauri Express is being proof read at the moment. I’ll be beginning work on the second WarWorld novel shortly, and a few other side comedy projects are tipping along nicely. But in bigger news I’ve decided to write some more commercially friendly work, I’ve had an idea for a thriller set in modern Ireland and a Crime series set in historic Dublin (could both be 2017 projects), also have a plan to write a stand-up show but not sure if I have the talent or the confidence to stand up and do it myself, will write some material and see where we are later this year … who knows I might give it a go.
