Madonna has been criticized for being allowed to not wait in line like all other people to sign in for jury duty. I think that is naive of her critics, especially the press who report it. Why?
Madonna is not like "other people". We anonymous folk don't get our clothes torn off for souveneirs by celbridiots.
I was with Sammy Davis, Jr. when a woman literally threw her one year old baby at him as her husband was taking a picture of S.D. Jr. catching their baby.
As I mentioned in my memoir "Blessed", when Cary Grant and I entered Saks Fifth Avenue his presence literally stopped everything. People dropped what they were buying and rushed to surround him. One woman plucked the silk handkerchief out of his breast pocket and joyfully ran off with it like that was an okay thing to do.
Sorry, but superstars need protections that the rest of us do not require.
