Stephen Case is a historian of astronomy and author who lives in Kankakee, Illinois. His fiction has appeared in Beneath Ceaseless Skies, AE: The Canadian Science Fiction Review, Lore, Andromeda Spaceways Inflight Magazine, Shimmer, Ideomancer, Emerald Skies, and Ray Gun Revival. His first collection of short stories, Trees and Other Wonders, is available on the Kindle Store. When he's not writing fiction, he's working on his dissertation on John Herschel and changing conceptions of the stars in the Victorian period. His research has been published in the journal Historical Studies in the Natural Sciences and Mercury.
