The coolest moment of my writing career ... so far. My Press Release. Penguin InterMix Acquires TRYST

[VIEW THE PRESS RELEASE HERE]
So, do you see that up there? That, ladies and gentlemen, is my very first press release on Publishers Weekly. *gasp*

I know I am a bit late with its debut on the blog, but if you follow me on other levels of social media you probably saw this spammed everywhere when it was released. (I might even be considering posting this on my wall somewhere … ok, you didn’t just read that).
Is this real life?
My favorite part is what InterMix Assistant Editor Kristine Swartz says in the press release: the novel is a compelling story about “modern-day relationship issues.”
Why thank you Kristine! I’m excited to work with her as my editor throughout the process of getting TRYST ready for publication, not to mention, it’s also fun to know how your editor views your book. Haha.
Giddy doesn’t really begin to cover how excited this little press release makes me. I hope it means big things. Hell, I hope the book sells well. It is truly a very cool thing to experience, and even cooler that this all transpired from posting online on Book Country. I’ve had such an amazing time connecting with the staff on the site and helping out where I can, while trying to become a more active reader. Call me crazy, but obviously I support this site. I think if it can help my writing dreams come true, than why can’t it help other aspiring writers? Check out the blog post I wrote for the site about my journey from Book Country to InterMix [here]. Also, read the post about Book Country member successes [here] (including mine), too!
I am truly elated by the future. For me, it’s just the beginning and I hope this means that someday I can become that full time writer I dream to be. When I read my press release one little (embarrassing) Disney saying plays over in my head … “a dream is a wish your heart makes” … and then yes, I might want to gag myself, but it doesn’t change the fact I can’t stop smiling. Who knows what the future holds, but my hope is this is a crucial stepping stone to making dreams come true. Ok, go ahead and gag yourself now.

As days/weeks go on, news about TRYST just pops up, too. Thanks to writing friends, epic readers, and even friends I’ve made at author events, I’ve been told that TRYST is actually available for preorder on both Amazon and iBooks! Help it hit the NYT Bestseller list in advance ;) It seems that it is set to release on MARCH 17, 2015!
PRE-ORDER HERE:
Amazon | iBooks
I can’t wait to begin the editing process and watch all other news unfold. I’m sure TRYST will get a full make over too! Get excited, because I sure could use some friends in crazy town.
ADD TRYST ON GOOD READS

Well guess what? SURPRISE! We were given the amazing opportunity to team up with my favorite writing site Book Country to film us answering questions in regards to writing, posting our work online, friendship, how writing feedback is an amazing tool to help grow as an author, and how Book Country has lead the way!
Watch the video, and don't forget to leave a comment on you tube!! <3
