Late One Night (the movie)
I'm not sure how other authors write, but I have this constant movie running through my head as I plot all the horrible things I put my characters through.
Then... my characters decide to get even. They keep me up all night and won't let me sleep. Scene after scene is played out over and over again.
Occasionally I'm able to quiet them down enough to get to the point where I'm just about able to doze off, where they are barely whispering in the background. I can feel my body relaxing as I breathe deeply, letting everything go...almost... just about...
I was able to sleep three hours last night before that dang Woody Hooten decided to come barreling through my consciousness and wake me up. I love Woody. He is one of my all time favorite supporting characters, but I don't think he knows he is 'just' a supporting character. He's beginning to hog the story line, but it clearly states in the title of my next book that it's, Late One Night (The Marissa and David Story), not Late One Night (The Woody Hooten Story).
Woody better simmer down. I would hate to have to kill him off.
Don't miss out on Early One Morning, the first in my romantic series. It's only 99 cents through the holidays.
