At twenty-five, he will become the crown prince of the Anzuni, marry a man chosen by his parents, and bear his husband’s children all without choice. If that wasn’t enough, he must remain a virgin until his wedding night. To do otherwise would spark an unimaginable scandal. With only ten months until his twenty-fifth birthday, the walls close in on Jerry, and the realization that he will lose his small apartment, his job at the library, and his freedom hits hard. GOING ALL IN
Men of Boyzville, Book One
Kristine Cayne
GOING ALL INMen of Boyzville, Book OneLife has been tough on Harry Cooper. Rejected by his best friend, abandoned by his family, Harry spurns relationships, settling instead for backroom hookups and one-night stands. Out and proud, he scrapes by selling drinks in gold lamé trunks while struggling to make a name for himself as a musician. Desperate for a change, he and his roommate take a trip to Vegas, where Harry finds himself getting more than he’d bet on.Fragrance chemist Ashton Montgomery is the man behind the Ashton George line of perfumes and colognes. He is also a gay man hiding behind the façade of one of New York City’s most eligible straight bachelors. After a failed paternity suit against him, he sneaks off to Vegas to celebrate his freedom. But is he really free, or is he locked into the future his parents have mapped out for him—CEO to the family business and married to a society woman of their choosing?A chance meeting at a rock concert in Sin City catapults Harry and Ashton into an adventure where each man comes head to head with what he fears most. Can they learn to trust each other as a couple, or is undeniable lust all they have? When all the cards are on the table, they each must decide whether to fold or go all in.Purchase linksAmazon USAmazon UKAmazon CAAmazon AUExcerptHarry Cooper burst through the door of his room at the Hard Rock Hotel. It closed behind him with a dramatic clang. “Girl, you will not believe—”Spotting his best friend Melissa Kincaid half-asleep in a pile of pillows on the massive bed they’d had to share to get the special “Getaway to Vegas” deal, he gasped and slapped her boxer-clad ass. “Seriously? We’re in Sin City, and all you can do is sleep?”“Yeah, yeah,” she muttered, rubbing her butt cheek as she sat up. “Did you get tickets to something good?”“Yes.” He sucked in a deep breath. “You won’t fucking believe—oh my God.” He waved a hand in front of his face.Melissa rolled her eyes. “Please tell me this isn’t another Madonna drag-show revival thing. I had enough of that last year.”Harry scowled indignantly. That show in Portland had been a blast. But no. “This is a million times better.”“Better than Madonna? Well, in that case…” She rolled her hand in a go-on motion.Harry sighed. Melissa just wasn’t in the spirit of their holiday. Her boyfriend of two years had broken up with her right after Christmas, announcing that he was going to London to complete his Ph.D. She’d begged him to continue their relationship long distance, but he’d been adamant. This was going to be a new chapter in his life, and one he’d be writing alone. Yeah. Dick, much? But that was exactly why they’d left soggy Seattle to come to Vegas. To soak up the sun and the booze and forget about the fact that Valentine’s Day had just passed, and they were both hopelessly single.“Come on, sweetie,” he coaxed. “Try to guess.”“Okay, okay.” She shifted around on the bed, adjusting her T-shirt, which had slipped off her shoulder. She was just so cute with her big green eyes and auburn, shoulder-length curls. If he weren’t gay, she’d be the girl for him.She tapped a long nail against her chin. “Celine?”Barely able to keep from blurting out his secret, he pressed his lips tightly together and shook his head.“Cirque du Soleil?”“No, but that would have been awesome.”“Hmm.” She shoved off the bed and pushed aside the curtain, probably so she could see the show billboards out on the strip. Cheater. She glanced at him over her shoulder, her eyes wide and hopeful. “Phantom? I’ve always wanted to see that.”He laughed. “You know Gerard Butler isn’t in the play, right?”“I can pretend.” She shot him a sassy smile.“This is better anyway.”“Nothing is better than Gerry as the Phantom.”He sashayed across the room and got in her face, grinning like a loon. “This is way better. Guess again.”Her gaze returned to the strip. When she spotted the sign, he heard the hitch in her breath. She whipped around and grabbed his shoulders. “The Red Hot Chili Peppers?”“Yes!”He said it much louder than he’d intended. Okay, he’d shouted, but could you blame him? They were going to see the freaking Red Hot Chili Peppers, and he’d get to hear Flea, the best bassist in the world, live!“Oh my God. Are you serious? Those tickets have to cost more than our whole trip.”He shot her a wink. “I may have done some wheeling and dealing with the concierge.”Her eyes swept over him and narrowed. “Please tell me no sexual favors were exchanged in this transaction.”Shooting out his hip, he slapped a hand to his chest. “Moi? I’ll have you know, Miss Melissa, I do have other talents.”Waving her hands in front of her face, she ducked her head. “I really, really don’t want to know.”~*~About the Author

The Dirty Dozen GRL Blog Hop!
Welcome to the Blog Hop! Who are the Dirty Dozen? 12 authors heading to GRL hopping around answering question we all contributed. Today the absolutely fabulous Morticia Knight is here with her answers, her novelSlave For Two (Soul Match 1),and we have a rafflecopter giveaway! Here's Morticia.Dirty Dozen QuestionsTams– If you could spend the day with one of your characters, which one would it be, and why?MK:I can’t spend the night? Heh heh heh. Oh, all right. Hmm… I think it would have to Aubrey King, the alt rock star from the Rockin’ it books. Especially if we could hang out in Milan, go to the music festival and get some Cornetti alla cream with espresso, Yum.Jeff- What are you working on currently and what's its inspiration?MK:Book Five in the Kiss of Leather series, Gaining Trust. The inspiration for the actual series was the name of the club! I thought, damn, someone should open a premiere BDSM club called Kiss of Leather, and custom build it from the ground up so that nothing else out there could compare to it. Then the next thought was, who the hell would do that and why?Wade- If the lead character in your current novel were to read your other books, which one would be his/her favorite and why?MK:Good one, Wade, I like it. My most recent novel is Slave For Two, the first in the Soul Match series, and even though Morgan is the cousin to the lead character, I think anyone who’s read it by now has figured out he’ll be a lead character in no time! *wink* But his love of reading is a big part of who he is. He loves fantasy, so he’d probably rather read one of Jake Wallace or Jordan Hawk’s books, but since he’s in alien captivity, he’s pretty desperate. I’m guessing he’ll take what’s available. In which case, I think he’d go for my WIP that I’m doing for the Order of the Black Knights series. If Morgan’s really lucky, I might actually finish it one day.Jake- If all of your MCs were thrown into a strange and dangerous world where survival relies on ingenuity, creativity, common sense who would come out on top?MK:You lost me at common sense. Let’s see…I’m betting it would either be Gavin or Stone, two of the Masters from Kiss of Leather. But, I think I’m gonna have to give this one to Stone. With his keen investigator’s eye, sharp intuition and unflappable demeanor, he’d probably save everyone else from a cruel, heartless death. Or something.Brandon- What musician or album do you think people should listen to as they read your work because it fits the soul of your words (either a specific title or your writing in general)?MK:Ooh, nice question, Brandon. This is super tough because I write to music and there are a lot of answers that would work here. For grittier emotions, I listen to Nine Inch Nails. When I’m in the soaring, romantic phases of the stories, Armin Van Buuren (DJ Trance) is amazing.Morticia– If you could be one of your characters and live their life, who would it be and why?MK:Who’s the idiot who asked this question? Oh wait… Uh, let’s see. I’m leaning toward Aubrey King again, but I sort of had my own small scale version of that about twenty years ago, and I’m over it. I do love the nineteen-twenties so much, though, evidenced by the fact that I have twelve books set in that era! I’m not sure I’d want to go through the angst and heartbreak that Jack did in the Gin & Jazz series, but I’d love his happy ending and where he ends up (and with who) at the end of his story. *grin*Tempeste– If you could be a fruit, any fruit, which would you be and why?MK:I have many, many filthy answers to this question… I choose: kumquat. Let’s just leave it at that.Jordan– What is the thing you enjoy most about gatherings like GRL?MK:The socializing! I rarely leave the house (or put on pants) so going to conventions is my only chance to not only be human for a while, but to spend time with a group of people who totally get why I read and write what I do. I’m sooooo sick of explaining that to people (other than my wonderful daughters who need no explanation) in my so-called real life.LE Franks– What is the most vivid romantic moment from any film that has lingered the longest and meant the most to you…. and why?My mind went straight to the scene in Bram Stoker’s Dracula with Vlad and Mina sharing the absinthe and the vision Mina has of her past life. Awesome. I love emotional and sexual tension, the mystical connection between two souls.Damn, now I wanna go watch it but I’m supposed to be answering these questions! Thanks LE!K-Lee– If you could take any fictional couple or character (television, movies, real-life, books) and add them to one of your books, who would it be and why?MK:Sherlock and Watson from the modern day Sherlock series. Do I really need to say why? Heh heh heh. Oh, all right. I like that they have such a strong connection, how they rely on each other in completely different ways, and that they’re ordinary guys, who are middle-aged and sexy as hell.AE– What kind of quirky habits do you have before or during the time you write?MK:I have to be listening to music. It’s turned into a Pavlovian response for me. If I’m struggling to get started, most of the time it’s because I don’t have the headphones on. The minute Armin’s beats kick in, it’s on baby!Alexa– When you write, do your characters hijack the story, or do you keep a tight grip on the reins?MK:Those bastards are in complete control. I’ll have entire scenes with dialogue worked out that I think is perfect and amazing, but when I start writing, they’re like, ‘fuck that’.Enter to win!
Slave For Two (Soul Match 1)What is destined cannot be changed…Chris has had a monumentally bad month. First, an aggressive band of aliens invaded the Earth, conquered the world, and now he’s fighting for survival in the mountains with his family and the neighborhood bigot. Just because he’s barely out of his teens and a bit on the scrawny side, doesn’t mean he can’t watch out for his Mom, sisters and younger cousin. Chris keeps searching for the brighter side of things, but his humor is wearing thin. Fear can do that to a guy.Lasar and Nary are a soul matched pair of warriors from Alashar. Lasar is Nary’s Ahna, the one who dominates him and Nary is the Nasha, or submissive to Lasar. Every Alasharian, regardless of orientation, needs the balance of the power exchange to exist peacefully within their lifelong, soul match bond. When Lasar is awarded a war prize, he sends Nary to look over the recent arrivals.Chris and his cousin Morgan are captured and sent to the slave cages where they discover from the other imprisoned young men that they are destined to be sex toys for alien pairs. When one of those aliens saves Chris and his cousin from being abused by the slave master, Chris hopes that the seemingly kind alien won’t be too horrible of a master.Lasar and Nary are finally alone together with their new sex slave, ready to enjoy their reward. But in the middle of their playtime a shocking event occurs that not only disrupts Chris’ world even more than it already was, it challenges everything that Lasar and Nary have always held dear. As Lasar searches for answers, he begins to question the reasons behind the Earth invasion and where his loyalties should really lie. As their Ahna, he must be the one who decides whether they will all be safer together, or apart.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Amazon US:https://www.amazon.com/Slave-Two-Soul... Welcome Alicia Nordwell with her Cover Reveal and a Giveaway!
I want to share a big thank you to my host for featuring the cover reveal today for my latest Dreamspinner Press release, On Fire, made by Garrett Leigh. Without further ado...
A fun tidbit: I actually took the picture of the mountain (it was not on fire at the time, lol)A picture is definitely worth a thousand words when it comes to a cover, and these guys are hot, but I bet you'd like to know more about their story, so here goes!Blurb:Nothing beats getting out of the concrete jungle and into the quiet of the forest. Website designer Scottie Ness is taking a well-deserved vacation from the grindstone, and he plans to spend it in the solitude of Washington’s Gifford Pinchot National Forest around Mt. Adams. He’s prepared for everything—except the lightning storm that traps him in a wildfire. The firefighter who rescues him sustains serious injuries and ends up in the hospital. Jax Quintero might be abrasive, but the guy saved his life, and Scottie wants to thank him. As they spend time together during Jax’s recovery and exploring the state’s landmarks when he’s released from the hospital, Scottie discovers there’s more to Jax than a smart-ass adrenaline junkie. Jax reassesses his opinion of Scottie as an arrogant city boy who has no business in the mountains. Though Jax’s wounds prevent them from taking things as far as they’d like for a while, they can’t deny the heat building between them—and this is one fire they don’t want to put out.Where can you pick up your copy?On Fire is available for pre-order at Dreamspinner Press now!https://www.dreamspinnerpress.com/books/on-fire-by-alicia-nordwell-7675-bContest!!Because I love my fellow readaholics, I'm giving away a $5 gift card to Dreamspinner Press to celebrate finally being able to share On Fire's awesome cover and my photo inspiration for Jax and Scottie.About the Author:The number one question folks ask Alicia when she shares she's a MM romance author: "Why gay fiction? Why write men when you're a woman?" and her answer is: "Why the hell not!" Alicia Nordwell is one of those not so rare creatures, a reader turned writer. Welcome Renee Stevens Blog Tour!
Author InterviewWhat’s one location you’d love to go to research for a story?Alaska. I’ve always wanted to visit there and I think it would be awesome to be able to actually set a story there. What's your favorite room in your house? Do you plot or write there?Probably my sewing room, and no, not yet. I’m thinking that I might set it up as a combo sewing/writing room here in the near future. If you were writing a book about your life, what would the title be?I actually did write one about a time in my life. I ficitionalized it, but nearly all the characters are based on people in my real life who helped me through a tough time. It’s called Life After Loss. I’m currently thinking of revising it and self-pubbing it.If you had to only work on one project for the next year... what would it be?I really want to start working on a Sci-Fi story that I have planned out, but I just haven’t had the time with all my other projects. IF all my other projects were done and I could focus on one single story, that would be the one.Do your characters try to make like bunnies and create ever more convoluted plots for you? Or do you have to coax them out of your characters?Depends on the character. Some of them like to throw major twists at me, some of them like the more straight forward approach. Is there anything you find particularly challenging in your writing?Staying focused. The only story I’ve managed to write lately, without stopping, was Wide Open Spaces.Have you written a book you love that you have not been able to get published?A couple of them actually, but I haven’t submitted them anywhere yet, either. I’m working on revising them. I think the top one here would be Joined by Blood. It’s a vampire novel that I am actually pretty proud of. I’m hoping to have it revised and submitted to publishers in the very near future. What do you think makes up a good book?It depends on the book. Some books that I think are great is because I really felt like I could connect to the characters and I cared about what happened to them. Other books I find great because I just got sucked into the story, the writing was just that good. Regardless of any other aspect though, I think it’s just gotta be a book that really draws the reader in and keeps them reading. One of those books that you start and can’t put down until it’s finished.Did the characters or the plot come to you first? They kind of came to me together. Outside of their names, I wrote the characters into the plot. They’re backgrounds are a major part of the plot and so I couldn’t have had one without the other. How long did it take you to write this story?2 weeks, and no, I’m not kidding. I got the idea and I just couldn’t stop working on it. I had it written, beta’d, edited, revised, and submitted within two weeks. I couldn’t believe how well this story went and I just wish I could stay that focused on my other stories. What sort of coffee would your characters order? Simple coffee, complicated soy-non-fat-extra-espresso-half-caff-nightmare?My guys aren’t complicated when it comes to stuff like their coffee. I just can’t picture them ordering something complicated. The most they would do is cream and sugar, and even that is questionable. What are your future projects?I have a few of them. My current list includes 2 revisions, Joined by Blood and Rough Stock Wranglers. After that I have a couple of stories I’d like to expand and either submit or self-publish. And once all of that is done, I really want to try and write my Sci-Fi story.
