Scared of Height - So how on Earth are you going to Reach Heaven in the Rapture?

Many persons are scared of height or acrophobic. The most some will allow themselves to elevate is just to the top of a ten flight staircase. Ten?! Wow, that’s mighty ambitious! The reality for some is maybe just two or the maximum three. If they ever elevated any further, it’s like the world is coming to an end, amen. Can you imagine, they are just five steps taller than their heads, and they are screaming and squealing their tonsil out, even if they have something very sturdy to hold on to?

Yes, there they are, gripping it with all their strength, heart, mind, body and soul, and they still feel like they are going to fall to the ground with a loud and vibrating CRASH! (Their hearts begin to beat against their chest so loud that they themselves as well as their neighbour can hear it. Then there is the horrendous picture of them being pulled speedily to the earth by a cruel gravity and what they really feared most happen. Yes, the deadly crash! After that, it would be goodbye world, husband/wife, girlfriend/boyfriend, mother, father (for those who are so blessed to have one), sister, brother, son(s), daughter(s), the rest of the family and friends! Yes, they envisioned their body, lifeless on the ground in numerous pieces. Their head gushed so much that they can’t even recognise their own face. Then they are put in an ice box at the funeral parlour until the day of mourning whereby their well-wishers turn up in black and tears). Can you believe it? All that number of activities crosses their minds in one split second as they think about how high they are! Only God can help them if they ever glanced down below!

Are they crazy…afraid of height? Let’s see how much they are missing out on. How joyous is the ride in a glassed framed elevator! Up, up up you go. Then suddenly you become taller than everyone else that you see below, just sucking in the pleasant view all around. How wonderful is the view from the balcony of the statue of liberty or the Tower in Seattle………. Not to mention the glorious gift received when sitting by the window of an aeroplane and view the breath-taking splendour of the setting sun, or the twinkling of the twilights in the darkness of the city afar. What about the thrill of hiking or being hooked to a zip-line high above the earth’s surface. Then there is the blood-pumping but fabulous roller-coaster ride. How could you want to miss that! Those are just a few. These people are missing out on so much!

Now tell me this one thing. How on earth are they going to reach heaven in the Rapture?!!! Heaven is up, up, up and way up; high up in the sky above the clouds, the stars, the moon and the sun. If they can’t climb ten flights of stairs and then look down, then how are they going to reach there?

Before Jesus had ascended into heaven, he told his disciples that he has gone to prepare a place for all those who loved him and obey his words. Then he added that he will be coming back again to take them to that wonderful place in heaven! We call that glorious home coming/going event the Rapture. Well the Rapture will be a joyous ride up in the air to meet Jesus! After living a Godly and sacrificial Christian life here on earth; free from sin, what are they trying to tell me? Now at the time when they should receive their most precious award, individually they are going to say:

“No Jesus, I am not coming up there! I am so afraid of height!”

Are you crazy?!

Well, one thing I know for sure is , ….at the time of the Rapture , they won't even have time to think. Before they know it, they would be way outside the mighty force of gravity and this sinful earth, whether they like it or not! Wasn’t that what they wanted in the first place when they became a Christian? They worked very hard for their reward. They deserve it and Jesus is going to make sure that they get it!

Even if they were dead and thinking:

“Gee! I am finally down on the ground into a permanent resting place. I will never be fearful or scared of height anymore, because no one will ever disturb me here.”

Now that’s a joke….don’t make me laugh. If they were living in sin they could say that; but they got something all wrong. They will one day be disturbed to face the final Judgement. Now which would they prefer, going “up” to heaven in the Rapture or going “down, down, down” to the Bottomless Pit with the Devil? Like it or not, that is the reality. I am sure I know which one they would choose. Yes, they would choose “going up!” So how on earth are they afraid of height?!!

By the way, concerning the Rapture and the Great Tribulation, have you ever consider which will be first? Did you say the Tribulation! Oh, I can hear the Rapture over here. I bet this person is not afraid of height! Well, if you want to know if you are correct, the answer is right here The Rapture and The Great Tribulation Revealed Which is First? by Beverley Malcolm

I suggest you put away you fears and let heaven be the place you want to be. Just remember that to be in the Rapture to meet Jesus, is the only elevator that will take you to heaven. Are you still afraid of height?!!
