There I found that Marie Lynch, a daughter of Captain Stephen Lynch of Berwick’s regiment in France, had married Oliver Bodkin of Belclare, Tuam, Co Galway. Marie died ten years later in 1730. In 1741, Oliver Bodkin, his pregnant wife Margery Blake, and his seven year old son, Oliver Jr, were murdered along with seven others in an inheritance-fuelled conflict.
