More convoluted, more meandering dialogue, and less resolved plots than the previous books in this series. It just seemed to lack some pop.

It is beginning to feel like J. K. Rowling needs a strict editor. While the characters in this book were just as enjoyable as the rest of the series, the numerous plot lines felt convoluted and occasionally unresolved.
