Launch of Back to Life this week!

I am very excited to announce the launch of my new book this week. Here's the summary:

Kate Mulligan is given a chance to relive her life. After a fatal accident, she is told she can have a do-over and begin again as a child, only this time with the wisdom she learned the first time around. Intrigued and convinced she can remedy a lifetime of mistakes, Kate opts to go back to 1976, the year her nine-year-old brother drowned. She saves his life, but quickly wonders if second chances are worth dying for. The novel chronicles Kate’s second attempt at life, in which she makes positive change but lives with the pain of sacrificing what she held dear the first time around. Throughout the novel, she encounters “angels” who encourage her to keep going, but soon discovers she cannot control the outcomes for those she loves simply by making different choices herself. Instead, she alters the course of life for some in ways that create even deeper regret. Ironically, Kate is forced to make a decision about the brother she returned to save. Will she have to end his life to save others from the monster he’s now become? This thought-provoking tale of a woman trying to fix guilt and regret resonates with all who wish they could rewind and try again.

I hope you will take time to read and review it. Available at Amazon.com in paperback or Kindle. I can't wait to hear you feedback, whether good or challenging -- either way, it will make me better.

Reviews please!

A lot of you are letting me know that your copy of my book has arrived on your doorstep! That’s exciting and I can’t wait to hear what you think. A writer’s worst fear is not that someone will say something negative, but that no one will say anything! I hope you’ll take time to leave me a review on Amazon and/or Goodreads to inspire others to purchase the book. Proceeds from the print version through July will be donated to local metro-Atlanta food banks. So please get the word out. I’m already on to my next project, which is always the most exciting time. Happy reading!

Kate Lives Again

I am going to give you another insight into the Back to Life story. Kate, the protagonist, struggles with many things as she navigates life again from 1976 to 2013. She catches herself a couple of times in her teen years saying "Just Google it!" She is lost without a cell phone, and worst of all, doesn't know how to navigate dating. She meets her children's father again and realizes how much she has grown since she was a young adult, but is very tempted to go out with him in her second life because she misses her children so much. The worst event is when she knows 9/11 is coming, but also realizes that saying anything could land her in jail or worse. And what if it doesn't happen just like it did in her first life?

If you want more, you'll have to go to Amazon! Remember, I am still donating all proceeds from the print version (through July) to local food banks. You'll get some entertainment and help out those in need.
