Review: Don’t Blink: 12 Inspirational Suspense Thrillers

Box set of 12 books, with authors' names visible on the spines. Cover: Don't Blink. Cover image is a cottage in the forest with an overcast sunset sky.

Don’t Blink: 12 Inspirational Suspense Thrillers, by Terry Toler, Cynthia Hickey, Heather Day Gilbert, Jordyn Redwood, Urcelia Teixeira, Melanie D. Snitker, Camy Tang, Sherri Wilson Johnson, Vikki Kestell, C.D. Gill, Jan Thompson, and Lynn Shannon. (Winged Publications, 2025)

This collection is well worth picking up. Some of the authors were new to me, some were the draw for me to order the book. (Then I scored an advance review copy. My own copy landed in my Kobo app on release day.)

Books, Books, and More Books (guest post)

Image by Luisella Planeta LOVE PEACE from PixabayBooks, Books, and More Booksby Steph Beth Nickel

My now-grown kiddos pretty much wore out one of the Berenstain Bear movies. In it, Sister Bear sang the song I Want It All.

Of course, the point of the story wasnt that she should get everything she wanted. But when it comes to books, too often Im like Sister Bear.

Fiction. Nonfiction. Audiobooks. E-books. Physical books. Quick reads. Massive tomes. And on and on and on...

A: It starts a movement thats still going strong 25+ years later.

Red Moon Rising: Rediscover the Power of Prayer chronicles the 24-7 Prayer movements first five years, and Dirty Glory: Go Where Your Best Prayers Take You covers the next five and beyond.

Happy New Year (Guest Post)

Happy New YearThe word Image credit: Pixabayby Steph Beth Nickel

No, its not January 1. Nor do I have school-aged children. However, I do view September as a New Year of sorts.

Consider the Alternatives (Guest Post)

There’s a time to press on toward a goal and a time to consider alternatives. This applies to our writing, as it does to other pursuits.

I find myself debating whether I should edit and indie publish a series of devotionals I originally wrote and recorded for HopeStreamRadio a decade ago, when it first launched. For years, I’ve thought I would offer it as an ebook and a print-on-demand ...
