Raised in a household full of books, it was only natural that Ellen Parker grew up with a book in her hand. She turned to writing as a second career and enjoys spinning the type of story which appeals to more than one generation. She encourages readers to share her work with mother or daughter – or both. When not guiding characters to their “happily ever after” she’s likely reading, tending her postage stamp size garden, or walking in the neighborhood. I’m being watched. I’m certain of it.

Pardon me while I check out my surroundings.

Oh — there he is. No problem for me. Wonder if he’s eaten today. I’m surprised he’s sitting on such a slender perch.

Below, in the tall grass at the foot of the bushes, imagine a mouse glancing upward.

Ooops! Poor time to venture out to collect seeds. If I wait here will he move to a different perch? Or sight one
