Book Review -- Sell Your Thoughts
Disclaimer, I recently joined the authors' program, and so this post is biased.
I recently read Sell Your Thoughts, by Matt Church, Peterook, and Scott Stein. I can't recommend this book enough. It is literally helping to change my business life.
The book is full of great content about how to commercialize your unique genius and expertise, and live the life of what the authors call a Thought Leader, someone who is doing work they love, in the way they love, with people they really like.
They draw a distinction between running and growing a TL practice and running and growing a business, and make a compelling case for why, in their view, a TL practice is better and more rewarding.
In a sense, this is a book of philosophy, of how to live a moral and virtuous life in a very real and practical way, much like I imagine the great ancient philosophers like Socrates, Plato, and Cicero would teach their followers to live. The key difference is that Church et. al are also teaching you how to commercialize this virtuous life, and earn a very handsome living from it.
If you are a Thought Leader, or aspire to be one, this is the book for you.

Nicky's Blunt Thoughts
Hello!
My name is Nicky Billou, and I love to read! I have kept a running log of the number of books I have read each year since 2007. My worst year in terms of the number of books I have read was 2011, with 39 books read, my best was 2015 with 71 books read.
I want to encourage my fellow book lovers to read great books, so I will be writing a blog to share my thoughts on the books I am reading, and to share the lessons and insights I have gleaned from them, and make recommendations about the books I found most valuable.
I'll be calling my blog, Nicky's Blunt Thoughts, because I was raised to be a polite Persian boy, and not be blunt, but rather be sensitive to other schools their feelings, and sometimes, this has hurt me, as I have held back my truth.
So here, I will refrain from doing that, and practice being direct and thus liberate my soul. Thanks for reading
