Let Me Explain (A Talk About Race and Art)...

It's been over a year since I actually posted a blog. I've been writing (and taking up voice lessons again) so I haven't completely abandoned my art but I haven't been as motivated either. This is for a number of reasons but there is one reason I want to talk about in particular. I've been having internal issues about my past work I created. I still love it just as much as I did when I created it and I don't want to change a thing (major things) about it because it was work that I believed in...

This Really Happened Complete!

I am proud to announce that my very first poetry book, entitled This Really Happened is officially complete. I will be going through the editing phases shortly and then you can expect a release on Amazon soon after.

Some of the poems you have seen previously on my social media pages but I provide an explanation under each poem. I go into detail about what I was feeling and what happened before I decided to write the poem. It's almost like a my personal journal being shared with the world. I'm...

I Didn't Forget...

2017 started off as a crazy year! I moved across the country from New York to Arizona in October of 2016 with my new husband. Since then we've been back and forth from NY to AZ (against our will) but now that I've got a new job at a new company, I'm comfortably settled in Glendale, Arizona.

I've been keeping up with my social media (mostly Instagram) if you've been following me but I haven't spoken much of most of my upcoming projects. I didn't forget about them nor have I neglected them.

I a...

Clothes for Charity!

Recently I created a Teespring account. For a long time I've wanted to create an apparel line that would donate a portion of profits to a suicide prevention charity. Well, now I've done it!

The quote on the shirt comes from a poem I wrote a few months back. It's a reminder for anyone who feels less than worthy because of doubters in their life. What I've come to find true is that most of the time the doubters and non-believers are our own family and friends, not just our foes. The apparel rang...

Dangerous Love: Short Story Now on Wattpad

The 1st short story to "My Interpretation: Short Stories Derived from Songs" is now up on Wattpad. Please read it, vote and leave comments. The short story is called "Dangerous Love" and is inspired by Ariana Grande's "Leave Me Lonely" featuring Macy Gray from her "Dangerous Woman" album.

It's a story I am very proud of and I mentioned before these stories are like music videos on paper but more in depth. They are what envision in my mind when listening to a song. Click the title below to read...

Wattpad Exclusive Book

Anyone who knows me knows I've never been able to be consistent when it comes to my social media profiles. This is something I'm looking to change by remaining active and interacting more with my followers/readers. In fact, I'm planning on committing to that goal by releasing an exclusive book of short stories on Wattpad.

I've had a Wattpad account for 2 years now but I've failed to do anything with it. I'm a strong lover of music and I came up with an idea for a short story book based on my i...

Dawn

It's dawnI hate going to sleep when it's daylightBut we always doIt's a sickness we have,Me and you
Amongst other things We can't bear to speak But the morning light is worst of allBut somehow it's where we always meet, Me and you
We live through the darknessIt's the source of our powerThe moonlight supplies our solar energyBut this sickness is getting the best of me,Me and you
We have much more to live forLet's stop closing our eyes towards the sunBecause the darkness can't hold us fo...

I Was Waiting For Something

I was waiting for somethingBut it never cameI'm not sure whatBut it all feels the same
There's this feeling I was supposed to getAt least that's what they all sayBut I'm not sure whatBecause it all feels the same way
I thought I had it for a minuteBut it was a false alarmOne second, it was goneThe feeling was disarmed
I'm still waiting for somethingAs it all turns outBut in reality, I did this to myself'...

New Website & New Material for 2017!

The last time I wrote anything on this blog was back in June when I shared that I started an organization called Jumping Waves . After that I got really caught up in planning my wedding (yes, I got married!), being apart of my sister's wedding and moving across the country (NYC to AZ). Now, I'm not exactly settled but I got tired of waiting. I felt the need to get back on my grind and start working towards my goals again. First off, SElleCameron.com got a new look and a new host!

Crazy Little T...
