I was born and raised on Galveston, which made me a BOI (born on the Island). Being a BOI is important in Galveston, making you feel like you're part-owner of everything there. Not knowing what I wanted to do with my life, I did what most good Texans did in the late 70's, I went to the University of Texas at Austin, joined a sorority, cheered for the Longhorns, and majored in Political Science because I enjoyed my government class in high school and didn't know what else to study. Fast forward to 2013. I still value my small city sense of wanting to be a part of community and I sort of still root for the Longhorns.

Emotional pain, guilty forces

Guilt works its way into the body and forms physical pain when the guilty feelings are overly consuming. Guilt has many causes, but the most harmful cause is the strong sense of failure over expectations. Failure can be real or imagined, and it generates a myriad of feelings, one being guilt.
