★ Strength Has To Be PROVEN ★
When you’re destined to BREAK CYCLES in your lineage, sometimes you’re taken DEEP through the mud! And you STILL have to stand tall in the strength you thought you possessed but didn’t really know you had-until the tests came…
After you’re hit with test after test, expectations tend to get low and bitterness sets in. Bitterness can be a hard pill to swallow but through it all, YOU MUST BELIEVE your life WILL get better!
Pray, resist bitterness, and LIFT YOUR VIBRATIONS!!!

Imagine That: Stephanie George
If you’ve read my book, “28 Days to Breaking the Cycle”, then you know how I feel about this beautiful soul, Stephanie George. I met Stephanie while I was serving a 36 month sentence in Federal prison in Tallahassee, FL. Stephanie and I had never held one conversation with each other during my stay at FCI Tallahassee, but she changed my life forever!
How?
I have always been a loner and wore my heart on my sleeve, which made me misunderstood by most people I came in contact with. My emotions may have felt settled on the inside, but my face would tell another story. Whenever I say Stephanie, there was always something that drew me to her, catching my attention, causing me to notice her. Stephanie never said much to me, outside of a pleasant “Hi”, but she always had a smile on her face and a sweet disposition about herself that radiated to everyone around her. I didn’t know her story, her sentence, nor the reason why I was drawn to her but, for some odd reason, I was.
This acknowledgement wasn’t just a simple “looking” at her. I actually SAW Stephanie… My spirit would always connect with her spirit, but I never knew why. At that time, I had so much work to do on my SELF, that I could not take the time to figure it out. Funny, when all I had was 36 months worth of TIME to figure it out, right? Still, Stephanie remained on my mind and in my spirit.
There have been only handful of people in my life who have had the ability to leave a lasting impression on me but its always been through conversation of some sort, never by them just being… Since I couldn’t figure out what it was exactly about this woman that caused me to remember her, I simply chalked it up to be that she was content because she knew she would be going home and prison was not her expected end.
Never would I have known that Stephanie was serving a LIFE sentence in that federal prison! In fact, it wasn’t until I had been out of prison for three years, did I found out she had been sentenced to life in prison unjustly. I had met many women that were serving lesser sentences than I and they were bitter. Some felt they didn’t deserve to be in a place like that and others felt bitter about the harshness of the judgment handed down to them. Not Stephanie. Yet, I could not figure out what it was about this woman that caused her to stay with me…until after I’d published “28 Days to Breaking the Cycle”.
Ms. George had a quiet faith about her that was unbreakable. She knew she didn’t belong in that place but she didn’t take her frustration out on others. She had a faith so strong that her spirit knew that her life would not end while she was locked up behind those fences! And her spirit was right!!!
On December 19, 2013, President Barak Obama commuted the prison terms of eight men and women who were sentenced under an unfair system. Of those eight people, Ms. Stephanie George was included!
Imagine being told you would have to serve the rest of your natural life in a federal prison for circumstances you had no knowledge of. Imagine being forced to be separated from your children and family because of what someone said. Imagine losing your father to illness and your son being murdered and you cannot attend their funerals. Imagine your family and loved ones fighting for your freedom to be restored and it happens! Imagine serving 17 years of a life sentence and your life being given back to you in the blink of an eye. Imagine man saying “No” about your life but God saying “Yes!”
Too often we take for granted the people in our life, not to mention taking our own lives for granted. Too often we allow life’s circumstances to control our happiness and joy. Too often we allow those same circumstances to dictate our beginning and our ending.
I am pleased to have met Ms. Stephanie George and even more honored to say she changed my life without even holding a conversation with me.
Imagine that….

The Honorable Nelson Mandela (18 July 1918 – 5 December 2013)
“During my lifetime, I have dedicated myself to the struggle of the African People. I have fought against white domination, and I have fought against Black domination. I have cherished the ideal of a democratic and free society in which all persons live in harmony and with equal opportunities. It is an ideal which I hope to live for and to achieve. But, if needs be, it is an ideal for which I am prepared to die.”
— Nelson Mandela
You were a Great Man who lived your life (95 years!) on purpose, SERVING YOUR PEOPLE! And to know that your life of service, your LEGACY, has touched not only Africa, but THE WORLD…
I imagine you’re smiling down from Heaven just like this, as you watch your people celebrate your life… It was an honor to have passed through this side of Glory with you, sir!
Rest In Peaceful CELEBRATION Mr. Mandela!

Break The Silence, Break the Cycle!
“It was through my relationship with God that I found out that destroying the cycles in my life by BREAKING THE SILENCE ON INCEST AND SEXUAL ABUSE so that the next generation does not have to experience the same pain is my divine purpose.
It brings me fulfillment every time I push towards that mark!”

Pain vs Love
Pain… Pain has a way of sucking the very marrow from your bones!
Pain… Pain festers and brews daring you to acknowledge him, just so he has the pleasure of engulfing you in his flames.
Pain… Pain pointing his finger at you, taunting you, “Ha! I am destroying your life!”
Pain… After pain destroys the very essence of Who You Are, he uses you to destroy every relationship in your life.
PAIN…
Love… Love has a way of reviving you, giving your LIFE.
Love… The Perfect Gentleman, he peeks at you from the shadows of your being, hoping you will acknowledge him.
Love… Love whispers sweet nothings in your ear, affirming that YOU ARE VALUABLE! YOU ARE WANTED! YOU ARE WORTHY!
Love… After Love revives you, teaching you how to #DREAM again, He uses you to build up yourself and every person connected to you.
LOVE…

Marissa Alexander's Free? Not So Fast, Says Judge.
Despite having been granted a new trial in September, Marissa Alexander will have to wait until the New Year to find out if she will be freed on bail.
Alexander had been sentenced to 20 years for firing a warning shot into a wall during a fight with her husband, whom she alleged had abused her.
During a hearing yesterday, the judge declined to rule.
Yet praying....
