There seemed to be a writer in me, trying to burst out at the age of ten. It all started when I wrote plays for my poor press-ganged friends to perform, although I bagged the best role for myself! Into teenage years the plays, skits and sketches kept coming - for my Grammar school friends at that time - and I daydreamed about writing a whole book one day. The sketches usually had some comic element about them.

At teacher training college I tried my hand at poetry and was heavily into music composition - not surprising as I took music as my main subject.

Being a newly published author

Since September 26th 2013, I have added the title of author to my personal profile. In the past I may have thought of myself as a wife, mother, primary school teacher, fair trade enthusiast, speaker and shop manager, but now I can add 'author'.
