Omni's Fall: Available Now on Audible

Omni's Fall Audible on iPhone (FB).jpg

So what took so long? Initially I was going to record this one myself. I got about halfway through when construction begin outside my apartment building. So, unless I came up with a story reason to explain the constant drone of grinders and jackhammers in the background, finishing the audiobook would have to wait.

By the time I came back to it I wasn’t completely happy with what I had. Knowing people have been waiting for this audiobook for so long, I didn’t want anyone disappointed. So I called in Jonathan M. Matthews to handle the recording and he totally knocked it out of the park! I hope you enjoy his performance as much as I did. You can find it today on Audible.

The Meta Series continues with New Empire (Out Now)

New Empire Wide.png

The fifth book in the Meta series, New Empire, is finally here! The eBook is available now on Amazon and Kindle Unlimited as well as paperback. I'm knee deep in recording the audiobook for Omni's Fall, and as soon as I'm done New Empire is next on the list. I know a lot of you have been waiting a long time for Omni's Fall in audiobook. I apologize that it's taken so long, but I'll be sure to update you when it's finally available.

Thank you so much to everyone who has already bought a copy and helped make New Empire the #1 YA Superhero New Release on Amazon. It still blows me away when I wake up on release day and hear from readers who’ve already devoured the new book as soon as it went up at midnight. If you've already read New Empire and enjoyed it, would you consider leaving a review? Reviews are the best way to support authors, especially indie authors like me, so I hugely appreciate it if you have the time.

...

New Empire Wide.png

Some slightly bad news: the release date of New Empire is being pushed back a few weeks, from June 15 to July 7.

I held off my marketing plans for the past few weeks since it didn’t feel appropriate to be promoting a book when there is a lot of serious and necessary conversation happening throughout the United States. Because of that New Empire isn’t ready to launch quite yet, but the wait won’t be much longer.

If you’ve already pre-ordered the book there’s nothing you have to do. You’ll automatically receive it on its new release date, July 7th. If you haven’t pre-ordered it yet, you can of course still do so on Amazon.

New Empire (Meta: Book 5) Cover Reveal

New Empire Wide.png

I’m very excited to share with you the first official look at the cover for New Empire! We’re a little more than a month away from the release of the fifth book in the Meta series and I’m excited for everyone to finally read it.

I don’t want to spoil too much for those who haven’t read the previous four books yet, but this one picks up right where Omni’s Fall left off. The world Connor has known changes in an extreme way. The potential threat he’s up against is on a completely different scale than anything seen before. Meanwhile, his relationships with nearly everyone around him are put through their biggest tests yet. We also meet a few new characters that may help shed some light on for the First Wave really ended.

New Empire is out June 15th and available for pre-order now.

Omni's Fall (Meta: Book 4) is Out Now!

Omni's Fall Facebook.png

Today's the day! Omni's Fall, the long awaited 4th book in the Meta series is out now in Kindle and paperback. This one picks up a few weeks after the events of Rise of The Circle, where we find Connor Connolly at a bit of a crossroads. He's finding that it's not so easy to balance his day-to-day life with what he'd actually rather be doing 24/7: being a superhero. This is coupled with his metabands not behaving the way he'd like for the first time, along with the discovery that metabands might not be the only way to gain extraordinary powers any more.

This was a super (sorry about the pun) fun book to write and I'm excited for everyone to finally be able to read it. It's available in paperback, Kindle eBook and Kindle Unlimited. To celebrate the release, all of the previous books in the Meta series are on sale for only 99¢ each. If you're behind, there's never been a better time to get caught up.

Ok, I’m pretty excited about this one. It’s taken way longer than I’d ever anticipated, but the fourth book in the Meta series will finally be out on March 26th and you can pre-order it today!

Omni’s Fall picks up a few weeks after the events of Rise of The Circle where we find things aren’t looking so great for Connor. I’ll let you hear more about it in the description below. And no, unfortunately I can’t tell you anything about that other person on the cover yet…

Omni’s Fall will be out in eBook on March 26th for just $4.99. Pre-order today on Amazon and you’ll get it right at the stroke of midnight on March 26th. This is a really fun one. I can’t wait for you all to read it and thanks so much for sticking with me.

Omni's Fall (Meta: Book 4)

With the entire world against him, can Omni fight back or will he fall?

Connor Connolly’s gambit to defeat Alpha Team worked, but not without significant cost. Those who helped him now find themselves without powers and Bay View City is worse off than ever. Midnight stopped answering his calls and no one has seen Iris in weeks. Connor’s metabands may also finally be damaged beyond repair. Even an attempt to stop a nuclear meltdown blows up in his face and turns many throughout the world against him.

Meanwhile, life back at the academy isn’t going much better. Now that Sarah knows the full truth about Omni she feels betrayed. She’s spending time with a mysterious student who has ties to Kaldonia, the hermit kingdom that’s banned all metahumans. With the training facility on its last legs, Michelle gives Connor an ultimatum: stop using your metabands or leave the academy. But when he tags along on a surprise field trip to Kaldonia he discovers a secret technology that could impact metahumans worldwide forever.

Will these revelations help Connor, or ultimately destroy him?

Pre-order Omni's Fall on Amazon Kindle Today!

Midnight Strikes is Out Now!

Midnight Strikes-2.png

The prequel to the Meta series is here. Like, really actually here. You can buy it right now in fact. It’s called Midnight Strikes, and you’ll never guess who the protagonist of the book is. Give up? It’s Midnight. Wow, I that was pretty obvious?

I decided do a surprise release for this one so I could get it into peoples’ hands as quickly as possible and also because it’s my birthday today, so I thought that could be fun.

This book took waaaaaay longer to get out than I thought it would, but it’s also a little longer than I’d planned too at around 200 pages. Despite that, it’s still only $2.99 or free if you’re a Kindle Unlimited subscriber. You don’t need to have read the previous books to understand what’s going on in it, nor does it contain any huge spoilers for the subsequent books.

My current project is the next book in the Meta series, but if this book proves popular I’d love to explore more Midnight stories too.

Check out Midnight Strikes, available now on Kindle and paperback at Amazon.

The Next "Meta" Story and a Deal

“Are you writing a fourth Meta book?” That’s the question I get the most often, and one I’m very happy to receive. It’s a lot better than: “You’re not writing a fourth Meta book, are you?”

Before I jumped into the fourth book in the Meta series I wanted to work on a few other ideas, which is what I’ve mostly been up to since Rise of The Circle came out last year. Some of those ideas were terrible. Really, really terrible. But some of them aren’t so bad, they just need more work. One of those ideas is further along than the rest though, so I thought I’d share it with you. It is a novella-ish length story set in the Meta universe tentatively titled “Midnight Strikes”. As you might be able to guess, this story will focus primary on Midnight and function as a prequel to some of the events in rest of the series. It will (ideally) work as a standalone story that won’t require having read the other books prior.

It’s still being written, so there’s not much more to share yet but as soon as there’s a cover, description, etc. you’ll be sure to get another email about it.

Also, this weekend the first book is on sale for $0.99 (or equivalent) all over the world. If you’re on this list you probably already have it, but maybe let a friend know? It’s available on iBooksNook and Kobo right now along with The Second Wave for a limited time. You can always get it on good ol' Amazon too.

That’s all my news for now. If you’re in the US and over 18 don’t forget to votenext week! Thanks for taking the time to read this and for your presumably undying support.
