The journey to I Take This Train Too
My first title was 'I Take This Train Too'.
The book was a visual exploration of the kind of people who generally frequent the trains, focussing on the most peculiar characters.
It began with a lack of options to while away the time on my long train journey. This was way before streaming services firmly attached everyone's eyeballs to their screens. And internet speeds on smartphones were a slow simmer.
I picked up one among the many sketch books I had acquired over time, (with not enough lead lines to deem it one) and began capturing the most interesting people I saw.
The project consumed me enough to consider it worthy of an entire book. And a little over a year later, I was holding the first batch of my first ever title.
