J.D. Shank was raised in the beautiful hills of Southeastern Ohio.

As a young adult, she traveled to Germany, Austria and many U.S. states. She lived in the Pacific Northwest for 5 years, and then moved to Alabama. She wrote her first novel, Unlikely Treasure, while living in Eufaula, AL. The scenes in her book were inspired by Eufaula's Historic District.

She returned to Ohio with her children and completed her Bachelors degree majoring in Anthropology. As part of the course work she was able to fulfill a life-long dream and participate in an archaeological dig.

J.D. is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

Rest:  It's Not Being Lazy
