Demokan Atasoy, korku edebiyatı, folklor, mitoloji ve sinema alanlarında çalışan yazar, yönetmen ve podcaster’dır.

Roman, öykü ve kurgu dışı eserlerinin yanı sıra çok sayıda ortak kitapta yazar, editör, katkıcı ve proje yöneticisi olarak yer almıştır. Çalışmaları, Anadolu folkloru, eski inanç sistemleri, mitoloji ve korkunun kültürel kökenleri etrafında şekillenir. İlk romanı Konuşulmayan, Macarca’ya Edit Tasnádi tarafından çevrilmiştir.

2014 yılında kurucuları arasında yer aldığı Gerisi Hikâye, korku, bilimkurgu ve fantastik edebiyat ile sinema üzerine Türkiye’nin en uzun soluklu podcastlerinden biri hâline gelmiş; 2016 Gio Başarı Ödülü’nün ardından 2025 yılında Power Podcast Festivali Özel Ödülü’ne layık görülmüştür.
