Aimee Dearmon is a fiction author. Her work has appeared in several magazines both online and in print. Her short story, Blue Dirt Filling Station, was nominated for a Million Writers Award and was mentioned by storySouth magazine as one of the most notable stories of 2010. Part of her short story, A White Rose, was adapted and performed in the finale of Elinor Jones' A Voice of My Own by the Evergreen Theatre Ensemble in celebration of local female authors.

Like the heroine in her novel, Blue Dirt, her first job was as a gas station attendant at a full service filling station in rural Alabama. She went on to study at Alabama Southern and University of South Alabama. She is a nurse, mother of three and currently resides in Mobile, Alabama. B
