I'm proud to announce that my first novel, Another Man's Treasure was a multiple award winner at the FAPA 2014 President's Awards on August 9th. My story received the silver medal in the Adult Fiction: General category and the gold medal in the Florida Fiction for Adults category. I am humbled by the honor and certainly excited to be recognized by my peers. I made several new friends at the event and am now more motivated than ever to getting my ideas for a second novel onto paper. If you get a chance please get your copy today. I am proud to announce that Another Man’s Treasure has been selected as a finalist in both the Adult Fiction and Florida Fiction for Adults categories for the 2014 Florida Authors and Publishers Association (FAPA) President’s Awards. Final awards will be announced on August 9th in Pompano Beach. I am shaking with excitement and extremely humbled that something on which I have worked so hard is being recognized and mentioned in the company of other fine books.

I know I'm a tough sell when it comes to a movie. With dinner, drinks, parking, movie tickets and popcorn, the risk to reward is pretty big. I find myself bored if the movie doesn't have a good plot with great relationships and is driven only by special effects and violence. So my question to my Friends is; do you find a book as big a risk when making your reading choices? Do you buy your books based on Friends' recommendations or do you just get those that tickle your fancy? Does cost figure into the equation? Since I've been marketing AMT, it's been a question I've pondered. Let me know your thoughts.

Book signing yesterday was a smashing success! Hundreds of people showed up to make my first signing something that will go down in my memory for the rest of my life. Thanks to all who showed up. I look forward to meeting some of my Goodreads Friends at future signings soon too.

I really enjoyed reading this book. The characters are well developed and loveable and I loved tagging along with Lucy and Rudy on their adventures. The author uses wonderful imagery to really make you feel like you're there. The unexpected twist caught me for a loop and I was crying at the end. Nice work!
