Not My Solution
Roger McCracken and Nicole Fuller have problems to solve. What solutions can they find?
Roger is a lawyer returning to his home town after living and working in Kansas City. He is trying to start his own practice. He has to find an office, secretary and of course clients!
After being injured in Afghanistan, Nicole became an English teacher. Even though she is severely handicapped, she is a very independent person.
Problems start when Nicole is accused of stealing money from the student council fund. She decides she needs legal advice.
Roger’s brother, Floyd, the sheriff, asks Roger to run for mayor because the only one running does not seem to have an understanding of the town’s needs. However, Roger is hesitant since he is just getting started with his new business. The mayor candidate, Vance Robertson, approaches Roger to convince him – more like a threat – not to run for mayor. Now Roger decides to run for mayor and the problems start.
Nicole and Roger’s problems become entwined and they need to work together. They are shot at, stalked, threatened, kidnapped, accused of sexual assault, and stabbing.
How will they come together to solve all these problems without getting hurt?

The Logan’s Way Detective Series
Logan McKenzie is a police detective sergeant (later captain) who does things his way with his own “rule book.”
In Out of My Way Logan meets Samantha Farley while she isa DEA special agent. They clash at first but finally, they work together to take a drug lord down.
In On the Way Logan is back and so is Sam but now he’s the captain and she’s retired from the DEA and is one of his sergeants. Lakeland PD will never be the same with the two of them working as partners in the detective bureau, but changes are on the way.
All the Way
Logan and Sam are back for a third time and this time is going to be very different and dangerous for both of them.
Someone is kidnapping and murdering women in Lakeland – appears to be a serial killer. The women are all tall and have long black hair, just like Sam. They find out a man Sam put in prison fifteen years ago is out of prison and he had vowed to kill her when he got out.
Sam, Logan, FBI agents and the local police agencies work together to get this killer but each time they think they’ll get him, he disappears.
Both Sam and Logan have to take their families to a safe house – even there the killer finds them.
As Sam and Logan work closely together, they have to address the growing feelings that are developing between them. But with Logan’s loss of his wife seven years ago and Sam’s divorce eleven years ago, can they overcome their losses to build a new relationship? Will they be able to work together?
How many women will be killed before the killer is found? Will he get Sam or her daughters before he is caught? Will Logan’s way be enough to solve this case and build a relationship? Will Logan finally go all the way?

Subtle Persuasion
Lisa Sherman is teaching at Stillwater High School for one year only. She will get a position in the Phoenix area next year, one way or another. She doesn’t like Stillwater or her apartment and can’t wait for May to be able to leave both. An older teacher, Marty, tries to persuade her to stay.
Ken Wilson is a county detective trying to make sergeant. Dead bodies keep turning up near the casino. Now he has three murders to solve and the little redhead down the hall from his apartment keeps getting in his way.
Lisa finds out that a former boyfriend from Phoenix, Harlan, is in town, working at the casino and living down the hall from her. He begins to bother her and her roommate, Margie. Lisa decides to ask for advice from Ken who also lives down the hall from her.
Ken finds out that the murders are probably drug related. A new group is coming into the county to take over by killing the old one. He gets information that Harlan Mills is probably involved. Ken’s younger brother works at the casino. Is he involved too?
Ken and Lisa start working together to eliminate the threat that Harlan poses to Lisa and Margie. In an attempt to stay safe, the women move in with Marty.
Can they fight off Harlan and the drug organization? Can they work out their differences? Can Ken subtly persuade Lisa to stay in Stillwater, for him?

Carla Sutherland, a judge for 5 years and a prosecutor for 15 years before that, has her life threatened with a bomb. Who could hate her that much to want her dead? They make up a list of men who were recently released from prison. One of them is found dead. Was he the one responsible? How can they be sure?
Forrest Jenkins, high school football coach, is being approached by a drug dealer wanting him to buy performance enhancing drugs for his team. If Forrest doesn’t buy them, the dealer is threatening harm to his star quarterback, Carla’s son. Can the police catch this sneaky dealer?
Carla does not especially like the football coach. She thinks he is a typical bully jock.
Forrest does not especially like Carla. He thinks she is a typical snob.
Threats to Carla continue then she and Forrest are thrown together when Forrest becomes a target for helping Carla’s son. After they are all placed in a safe house, Carla and Forrest are forced to work to together.
Will they be able to resolve their differences long enough to save all their lives? What dangerous consequences will they face?

Julie Cantrell finally made detective sergeant, and everything seems to be falling down on her head both professionally and personally.
Gary Bradshaw is the new pastor of First Baptist Church and everything seems to be falling down on his head both professionally and personally.
Julie doesn’t trust pastors and Gary can’t get past her hard-as-nails demeanor.
Julie has to deal with those in the police department who didn’t want her to get the promotion, especially the detective that everyone thought would be promoted. Her first week starts out with chaos. A council women’s house is burglarized. Julie’s ex-husband is filing for custody of their ten-year-old daughter. The church, the one place that Julie promised never to go again, is also burglarized. Assault and murder become part of the overall mix of problems.
Gary encounters problems from the time he arrived at the church. He has to deal with six argumentative deacons, a custodian who won’t talk to him and a secretary that seems to know everything about everyone. Gary has to worry about the church burglary. His ten-year-old daughter, who is confined to a wheelchair, is very unhappy about the move and is making it known to him.
All of these circumstances force Julie and Gary together. But what can they do about it? Can they help each other both professionally and personally? First, they must see each other differently than they did at their first meeting. Can they?
