Sweet or Steamy?
As a reader, I read both kinds of books. However, most novels with steamy scenes feel misplaced. When a graphic scene is dropped into the middle of a sweet story, it can often feel disconcerting. In my opinion, a steamy book needs sexy banter and flirting. There has to be a buildup. That said, I prefer books more lightly and subtly spiced.
