Bright Side: 10th Anniversary Edition

Ten years? How is that even possible?
To celebrate this milestone, and the fact that I feel like the luckiest girl on the planet to have been part of the big, beautiful, book community for a decade, I put together a special edition of the little orange book. I included notes throughout to share stories, fun facts, and insight into characters from my point of view. I added personal photos related to the story and my journey since it released in 2014. I added an extended love letter/dedication. And I added a bonus short story that takes place ten years after Bright Side so you can catch up with the gang.
This book was so fun to put together and was truly a trip down memory lane for me. Thank you for walking beside me these past ten years and, most importantly, for you friendship! Love you all!

I haven't posted in a while and thought I should give you all an update on Gus. I'm so, so close to finishing the writing. Then it's off to my editor and beta readers. That process takes a couple months start to finish. Fingers crossed I'm looking at a late spring release. Thank you for your continued support. Love you all!

Yesterday was one of the best days of my life. *cue the American Authors song* Never, EVER, in my wildest freaking dreams could I have imagined a day like yesterday. I met the most amazingly kind people on the planet. And when I say planet, I literally mean planet, because I talked to people from all over the world. My heart is filled to capacity ... and then some. The Bright Side family is bursting with the most tenacious, kind, funny, passionate people - I feel so blessed to be a part of this madness!!
After checking Bright Side's kindle page on Amazon late last night I realized how busy you all had been. I'm still completely speechless (okay, that's not true, I'm never speechless). I'm humbled and I'm honored and I'm SO freaking lucky. Bright Side was at #389 in kindle store last night (it was #60,000 less than a week ago!). It was #26 in kindle Romance and #43 in New Adult. WTF!! How does that even happen? I know how it happens. It happens because this Bright Side family of readers is AWESOME!!! From the bottom of my heart I thank each and every person who's read or is reading Bright Side. Thank you to everyone telling their friends and family about it. Thank you to everyone writing reviews and sending me messages. Goddamn, you are my heroes! And to each of you I say, "Welcome to the club." I bet you get that a lot.

I've been asked this question a lot lately. When I wrote Bright Side it was intended to be a standalone. But then I finished it. And I couldn't stop thinking about Gus. Damn, I LOVE me some Gus. :) He was supposed to be a more minor character, but he morphed into this larger than life, completely lovable dude. I still wanna hang out with him. I'm not ready to let him go. So I'm writing a book about Gus. It starts where Bright Side leaves off with him. Eighty pages done. The rest is still trapped inside my head screaming to get out. I'm a slow writer, but I hope to have it out in early 2015.
