“You have gone once more to the seashore
and this time you have looked at the horizon
with a fugitive's lust.
You have asked yourself with sadness
who in Ithaca would notice your absence:
the sea toward which you always look,
the heavens you never question,
the land that waits for you assuredly.”
Francisca Aguirre, Ithaca
