Full time translator, usually boring admin stuff to make a living, but occasionally also fun/clever stuff (Tim Powers, Neil deGrasse Tyson, Jay Kristoff, Cory Anderson, Stephanie Garber, Tahereh Mafi...), as well as occasional writer with several short stories published in local magazines and anthologies. Hoping to complete (and publish) his debut novel before the heat death of the universe.

“Awesome design ideas. Why don’t you try selling them?”

A nice idea, but for a long time, that is all it was. But then technology progressed, modern print-on-demand dropshipping became a thing, I had a much loved, but long disused domain, and here we are.

I am mainly aimed at making rashguard designers for grapplers like myself – nerdy, sciency, and just a tad bit artsy. All too often grappling gear

As a kid, Sweetums the Muppet gave me the heebie jeebies, so on the one hand, this one struck a bit of a personal chord with the creep factor. At the same time, it reads like a nice piece of creepypasta, so while it was a quick and slightly eerie rea ...more

People complain that this sounds like a comfort read but is, in fact, pretty damn dark, but despite the darkness of the universe, nuns in a mushy, living, crayfish spaceship flitting around the four inhabited systems cannot be anything but a comfort ...more

Aaaah, like a comfy, well-worn sock. So nice to have the entire gang around, and although it was a bit thorny reading this with a kid who doesn’t have the necessary Shakespearean background information, it was nevertheless immensely fun… at least unt ...more

Johann's 501 by Mirjana Novaković
"Redom:
1. I dalje jedan od naših najzanimljivijih i najambicioznijih fantastičnih romana u ovom veku
2. O brate, ZAŠTO je dobacio do objavljivanja u vidu koji deluje kao završena prva ruka

3. Bože ala su dobri i raznovrsni ženski likovi, dragi domaći mu" Read more of this review »

More of Sebastian's books…
Robert A. Heinlein
“A human being should be able to change a diaper, plan an invasion, butcher a hog, conn a ship, design a building, write a sonnet, balance accounts, build a wall, set a bone, comfort the dying, take orders, give orders, cooperate, act alone, solve equations, analyze a new problem, pitch manure, program a computer, cook a tasty meal, fight efficiently, die gallantly. Specialization is for insects.”
Robert A. Heinlein

“Evolution has no foresight. Complex machinery develops its own agendas. Brains — cheat. Feedback loops evolve to promote stable heartbeats and then stumble upon the temptation of rhythm and music. The rush evoked by fractal imagery, the algorithms used for habitat selection, metastasize into art. Thrills that once had to be earned in increments of fitness can now be had from pointless introspection. Aesthetics rise unbidden from a trillion dopamine receptors, and the system moves beyond modeling the organism. It begins to model the very process of modeling. It consumes evermore computational resources, bogs itself down with endless recursion and irrelevant simulations. Like the parasitic DNA that accretes in every natural genome, it persists and proliferates and produces nothing but itself. Metaprocesses bloom like cancer, and awaken, and call themselves I.”
Peter Watts, Blindsight

Richard P. Feynman
“We could, of course, use any notation we want; do not laugh at notations; invent them, they are powerful. In fact, mathematics is, to a large extent, invention of better notations.”
Richard Feynman, The Feynman Lectures on Physics Vol 1

John Crowley
“That was what did the harm, knowing the one, believeing the other.”
John Crowley, Ka: Dar Oakley in the Ruin of Ymr

John Gardner
“Poor Grendel's had an accident. So may you all.”
John Gardner , Grendel
