Untamed — Meet Beck Callahan 🤠🔥

Today was supposed to be Untamed release day… and I'll be honest with you — I'm a little behind schedule! 😅
What I did NOT fully account for was how much time one adorable, fluffy, chaos-causing puppy would take. 🐾 Odin has my whole heart and all of my patience, and I wouldn't change a thing — but wow. A few of you warned me and I clearly did not listen! 😂
The good news? My wonderful editor just finished her first round and Untamed is back in my hands, which I am deep in today. ☕📝 ARC invites are coming this weekend — stay close!
I didn't want today to come and go without saying something though — so consider this your official introduction to Beck Callahan. 🤠🔥 A grumpy Montana rancher who is about to have his world completely turned upside down. I am so in love with this story and I cannot wait for you to have it on your Kindle!
It's coming — and it's going to be worth the wait. 💕

REMEMBERING PUERTO VALLARTA ON A FRIGID DAY

We're well below zero here in New Hampshire tonight, and snow is set to start tomorrow. As I bundle up and prepare for this epic, nearly nationwide winter storm, I can't help but think about warmer days—specifically, a magical vacation my husband and I took to Puerto Vallarta a few years ago.
I'm talking warm nights with ocean breezes, long walks on the beach with sand between our toes, and the sound of waves crashing in the background. We found this incredible restaurant and bar right on the beach—the kind of place where you can dig your feet in the sand while enjoying the best ceviche and tequila I've ever had in my life. Seriously, I dream about that fresh, tangy ceviche paired with smooth, perfectly crafted tequila!
We spent our days exploring the cobblestone streets of Old Town, and our evenings watching the sunset paint the sky in shades of pink and orange. Puerto Vallarta has this perfect blend of laid-back beach vibes and vibrant culture that just pulls you in.
And now? I'm bundled up in layers, watching the temperatures plummet, waiting for the snow to start, and remembering what warmth feels like. Don't get me wrong—I love my snow days for writing. But right about now, I'd trade my cozy fireplace for a beachside margarita and another plate of that incredible ceviche.
To everyone in the path of this storm—especially those in locations that aren't used to this kind of weather—please stay safe and warm. This is serious, and I'm thinking of you all. Bundle up, stay inside if you can, and take care of yourselves and each other. 💙
Anyone else feeling nostalgic for warmer days? Where's your favorite tropical escape? 🌴🍹

She's Sunshine. He's a Storm Cloud. BOUNDLESS Drops January 25th!

She's sunshine.
He's a storm cloud with a five-year-old daughter.
She keeps showing up.
He keeps pretending he doesn't notice.
Spoiler: He notices.

Logan Dawson didn't plan on falling for anyone. After his ex-wife walked out three years ago, he built walls. Made rules. Swore he'd never let anyone close enough to leave again.
Then Jess Bennett arrives in Copper Ridge, Montana.
She's running from a life in Connecticut that made her feel small—a broken engagement, a family who doesn't understand her, and expectations she was never going to meet. When she inherits her great-aunt's cottage, she sees a fresh start. A chance to breathe. A place to figure out who she really is.
She didn't expect the grumpy rancher next door. Or his five-year-old daughter who hugs like she means it. Or the terrifying realization that this place—these people—might be exactly where she belongs.
Logan doesn't do sunshine.
But Jess keeps showing up anyway. Saturday mornings. Sunday dinners. Paint-splattered jeans and messy hair and those dark eyes that see right through him.
He knows better than to fall for her.
He's falling anyway.

BOUNDLESS is Coming — My New Small-Town Montana Romance

Happy New Year, readers! ❤️
I've been keeping a secret, and I'm finally ready to share it.
BOUNDLESS releases January 25th, and I couldn't be more excited to introduce you to Logan, Jess, and a little girl named Sadie who stole my heart from the very first chapter.

About the Book
Where the sky is endless and love takes root
Logan Dawson didn't plan on falling for anyone. Three years ago, his ex-wife walked out, leaving him to raise their daughter alone on his family's Montana ranch. He built walls. He made rules. He swore he'd never let anyone close enough to leave again.
Then Jess Bennett arrives in Copper Ridge.
She's running from a life in Connecticut that made her feel small—a broken engagement, a family who doesn't understand her, and the weight of everyone else's expectations. When she inherits her great-aunt's cottage in rural Montana, she sees it as a fresh start. A chance to breathe. A place to finally figure out who she is.
She didn't expect the grumpy rancher next door. Or his five-year-old daughter who hugs like she means it. Or the slow, terrifying realization that this place—these people—might be exactly where she belongs.
Logan doesn't do sunshine. But Jess keeps showing up anyway. Saturday mornings. Sunday dinners. And somewhere between porch repairs and braiding Sadie's hair, she slips past every wall he's built.
He knows better than to fall for her.
He's falling anyway.

The Tropes You Love
☀️ Grumpy/Sunshine
👨‍👧 Single Dad
🏔️ Small Town Montana
👩‍🏫 His Daughter's Teacher
💔 Wounded Hearts
🏠 Found Family

A Little Behind the Scenes
This book is personal to me. I wrote characters who carry real fears—the fear of being left, the fear of being too much, the fear of wanting something and having it taken away. Logan and Jess earned their happily ever after. They fought for it. And I cried more than once writing their journey.
Sadie, Logan's five-year-old daughter, became one of my favorite characters I've ever written. She's sweet, she's real, and she says things that broke me in the best way. And Ruth—Logan's mother—is the meddling, wise, snickerdoodle-baking mother-in-law we all deserve.
This is a story about finding home. About choosing to stay even when it's hard. About love that takes root under big Montana skies.

Celebrating 249 Years of Freedom + The Heroes Who Protect It! 🇺🇸

Happy 4th of July, everyone!
Today we celebrate our nation's 249th birthday, and I can't help but feel incredibly grateful for the freedoms we enjoy every single day.
As the wife of a veteran, I have such deep love and respect for our military and veterans who have sacrificed so much to protect what we hold dear. It's no coincidence that most of my main male characters have been veterans - there's something so compelling about writing heroes who've served their country and then find their way to love and peace in small towns like Willow Creek.
Whether you're enjoying fireworks, barbecues, or just a quiet day reflecting on what this holiday means, I hope your 4th of July is wonderful.
Thank you to all who have served, and happy Independence Day!
With gratitude and love for our country,
Colby

Spring Reading & Mother's Day Romance Picks 🌸📚

Happy Saturday, romance lovers! With Mother's Day tomorrow, I've been reflecting on how spring changes my reading habits. There's something magical about longer days and warmer weather that makes me want to read outdoors - the steamy scenes just hit differently when you're reading on the porch with a glass of wine! 🍷
Speaking of romances featuring amazing moms, I can't help but think of Sophia from Book 3 of my Willow Creek series. As a single mother, she brings such depth to her relationship with Martinez. I'm really working on getting this "feel" just right - it's one of the reasons I scrapped a few chapters and rewrote them! Their story captures that beautiful balance between romance and real life that many readers with families will relate to.

Do you read differently in spring? Do seasonal changes affect your book choices? Drop a comment below - I'd love to hear your thoughts! 💬

📚✨ JUST 2 DAYS TO GO! ✨📚

Good morning, book lovers! Happy Friday! 🌞
With "Guarding His Second Chance" releasing in just TWO DAYS, I wanted to share a little behind-the-scenes confession...
This book nearly didn't happen! 😱
I started writing Ethan and Emily's story back in December, planning for a January release. But I kept hitting walls! I rewrote the beginning countless times, scrapped entire chapters, and even tried to start different projects instead.
But these characters wouldn't let me go. Their story kept pulling me back, demanding to be told, even when it was fighting me every step of the way! 💕
I finally pushed through the block, and I'm SO glad I did! Sometimes the stories that challenge us most become our most meaningful work.
"Guarding His Second Chance" has suspense, drama, and a Happily Ever After that I'm not ashamed to admit made ME cry while writing it! 🥰
Have you pre-ordered your copy yet? It arrives Sunday! 🎉

Winter's Not Done Yet: A Writing Update from Snow Country

Another snow storm is heading our way here in New Hampshire! As I write this, we're battening down the hatches for today's blast of winter weather, and there's already talk of another storm coming Sunday. Mother Nature certainly isn't finished with us yet!

But you know what? These snow days are perfect for writing, and I've got some exciting news to share. I'm putting the final touches on "Guarding his Second Chance," which will take us back to the charming (and sometimes dramatic!) world of Willow Creek. There's something special about revisiting this town and its characters - it feels like catching up with old friends.

Speaking of Willow Creek, curling up with my laptop while watching the snow fall outside my window really sets the mood for writing these small-town romances. There's something magical about crafting steamy scenes while nature creates its own drama outside!

For those of you who've been patiently waiting for more Willow Creek stories, thank you for sticking with me. Sometimes stories need time to simmer, but I promise this one will be worth the wait.

Now, if you'll excuse me, I need to stock up on coffee and snacks before this storm hits. A writer's got to have her priorities straight!

How are you planning to spend your snow days? Drop a comment below!

Secrets in Romance: The Delicious Dance of Desire

Have you ever had a secret that made your heart race every time you thought about it? Something forbidden that you knew you should keep hidden, but it just kept pulling at you? In the world of steamy contemporary romance, these delicious secrets create the kind of tension that keeps us turning pages way past bedtime!

Maybe it's falling for your best friend's sibling (absolutely off-limits!), or that spark with someone who's completely wrong for you (but feels so right). There's something absolutely irresistible about watching characters try to fight their attraction while knowing that eventually, that secret desire is going to burst free in the most deliciously steamy way.

As a romance writer, I love exploring these forbidden attractions. The longing glances when no one's watching, the accidental touches that linger just a moment too long, the way their pulse quickens whenever they're alone together. It's that delicious dance of "we shouldn't" and "but I want to" that creates the most intense chemistry.

And let's talk about the moment when that secret finally comes out! Whether it's a passionate confession in the heat of an argument or a slow-burning revelation that can't be contained any longer, there's nothing quite like watching those walls come crumbling down. All that pent-up tension, all those stolen moments and hidden desires, finally breaking free.

Sometimes the most powerful secrets are the ones we keep from ourselves - trying to deny our attraction, pretending we don't feel what we feel. But in romance, we know that the heart wants what it wants, and sometimes the most beautiful love stories start with the words "I shouldn't want you, but I do."

What's your favorite kind of forbidden romance? The secret office romance? The best friend's sibling? Or maybe the enemies who can't resist each other? Drop a comment below and let's chat about what makes these secrets so irresistible!
