Children's Books

So, I've been telling stories to my youngest boy and he has asked me to write a couple of them down. Has anyone here worked with illustrators or children's agents?
This is an entirely new field for me and I was wondering if anyone had any advice or suggestions.
Here's hoping that everyone is well and enjoying all of their reading.
