I am just a girl trying to create rainbows in a world where my mind is held prisoner! I write a lot in order to gain perspective, purge my soul, retain my memories, and to put into words what my tears and laughter are trying to say!

Writing began as therapy. Poetry, to be specific, was a way to get an active and anxious mind to focus. Taking a feeling and describing how I felt in that moment with as few words as possible became a calming meditation.

Before I started writing, I just over analyzed everything. My mind went 100 miles an hour in 100 different directions and very few of those directions led anywhere good.
