"INTRIGUING STORY … This memoir is very moving. I was intrigued by the doctor-turned-pilot aspect, and the story kept me hooked. The author gave a lot of details, but not so many that I felt overwhelmed. This book is well-written and shows the human side of both careers."

"Great story. It kept me interested from start to finish. I was recommended to read this book by my wife who saw it as a recommended book. I looked at it and thought why not...it looks good to me. I was floored to realize I went to high school with the son of one of David's intern buddies. Crazy small world sometimes! I wonder if David keeps in touch with him."

"TERRIFIC READ ... My husband and I couldn’t put this book down. It’s a compelling, fascinating story and we especially appreciated that he shared from the heart the stresses that accompany medicine and aviation. There is incredible satisfaction in these professions, but they do come at a cost.
As an ER physician my husband appreciated the details he shared as a doc that trained before emergency medicine residencies were the norm, or even available. Many don’t realize what a relatively new specialty this is and we should all have great admiration for those who had to care for patients with "learn by doing", often in austere circumstances. Thank you for sharing Dr.(Captain) Crawley….looking forward to reading your newest book!"
