I love making weird, sexy videos, editing footage from movies or TV to make a whole new story. Unfortunately my videos are often blocked on the grounds of copyright infringement or obscenity, which is deeply frustrating. I consider what I do harmless parody remixing, not intended to make a profit, and most of my videos are PG-13 at most, featuring no nudity or actual sex at all. Youtube in particular is really copyright/obscenity crazy, so I've ended up hosting my videos on a bunch of different sites. People keep asking me how to see that one video that used to be on Youtube, and I have to point them to all these different links.

Well, things just got a lot simpler! I've started a video page on my site, and now all of my videos can be found in one place. Jimmy Gets Juicy, the expanded version of The Town of Pregnant Women... it's all there!

My short video MOMMYFIED: THE PREGNANCY PLAGUE has gotten such a positive response, and I thought it might be fun to post a quick look behind the scenes.

You'd be surprised how much of the script was just me working around weird little problems. The characters say a lot of words that non-French speakers could identify, like restaurant and économie, and often I HAD to include those words in the subtitles or it would just sound weird. (That's why the newscaster refers to the Ministry of Health and Economy, even though nothing like that exists in France. I had to come up with something that fit with him going on about l'économie.) "Eddie" wouldn't shut up about "psychiatrique," so I had to keep coming with reasons for her to talk about shrinks!

I hope the sub-titles still read OK, and they don't pop around the screen too much. Partly that was me being arty, but mostly it was because when I put the subtitles in the usual subtitles spot they kept blocking the bellies... and I did not wanna cover up those big, beautiful bellies! Also the girls talk fast, so I kind of had to color code their dialogue and make stuff pop around on screen to try and keep it clear who was talking.

I don't speak French, so I don't really know what's causing the pregnancy outbreak in the original film. (I tried like heck to look it up, but couldn't find out.) That being said, I wouldn't be surprised if some of what they say isn't so far from what I came up with. I think the one girl really is comparing the other's belly to a beach ball, for instance, something I didn't notice until I was almost done with the film and realized it sounded like she was saying beeshbull.

In hindsight, I should have given them names that sounded much more French. I don't know what I was thinking, giving them distractingly American-sounding names like Maggie and Eddie. I don't think the original film ever names the girls, but to keep them straight in my head I called them Cutie, Pinkie, Sleepy and Toughie. I bet you can guess which one was which! (I think Pinkie's my favorite, but Cutie sure is cute too.)

The video follows an obese, sad-looking guy who has invented a device that enables him to become a smokin' hot club chickie for a while, until his little wristwatch gizmo starts blinking and he knows it's time to hurry home. For a fan of TG transformations, the stuff where he becomes the girl is great fun. But then there's the "funny" conclusion, where he poofs back into a homely fat guy in the club, doesn't realize he's changed and keeps twerking around while everybody looks at him in horror. That part was just depressing. But everything before that was pretty great!

He Was Impregnated by Aliens got a great Youtube comment the other day from somebody going by the name worldwidewest. This comment packs so much wrongness into a single sentence, it's really kind of breathtaking. I just had to share.

He's Full of Sh**t for the fact that he's blaming the Heterosexual Aliens for his Earthy deviations so anyone who falls for this crap might be as dumb as this retard seeking for undeserving attention.

OK, let's unpack a few of the many wrongness-es.

* The aliens in the video are not heterosexual. They reproduce asexually, and make it quite clear they they find heterosexual reproduction "grossly inefficient." They also tear off Bruno's pants, stick a big "probot" down his throat, do creepy stuff to his eye, feminize him and knock him up. Whatever the hell they're up to, it ain't heterosexual.

* Bruno, the man who is turned into a pregnant woman in this story, is not a deviant. He is a heterosexual man who is transformed by aliens, against his will, into a pregnant, heterosexual woman. Even if you're messed up enough to think that homosexuality or being transgender are deviant, Bruno is still not a deviant. The one sex act depicted in the film is a happy and consensual one between a heterosexual man and woman!

* Not to be too p.c., but "retard"? Really? There are plenty of ways to be insulting, without throwing words like retard around. Why not call somebody a shithead instead? Shithead is a fine insult, and doesn't unfairly slur a whole group of people who have nothing to do with this mess.

* Bruno's seeking "undeserved attention"? That's the one that really makes me sit and think. Does worldwidewest believe that He Was Impregnated by Aliens really happened, and Bruno is fudging the details to cover up his own twisted sexuality, and by doing so Bruno is slandering the wholesome, Heterosexual Aliens?

* If we say this story really happened, and Bruno was indeed the first man the aliens transformed into a pregnant woman, I don't think he's exactly being an attention-seeking glory-hog by writing a book about it. I think he's kind of doing the world a favor, warning us that these freaky-ass, French-speaking ETs are on the way to turn us all into pregnant ladies!

* The capitalization of "Heterosexual Aliens" suggests this is an actual title, like there are factions of Heterosexual Aliens and (presumably) Gay Aliens and Bisexual Aliens. Are there also Adult Baby Aliens? Furry Aliens? Are Aliens born that way and never waver, or do they go through an experimental phase in college?

* So, it's OK to slander "retards," but not the Heterosexual Aliens?

(Actually, if aliens are real, I tend to doubt they're heterosexual. I've heard some stories about what they do with those probes...)

This clip is a parody edit of a music video that really bothered me. The original was about a homely transgender guy who uses a device to become a hot girl, only for him to be humiliated in the end when he changes back while he's out dancing. The whole thing struck me as kind of creepy and mean and anti-trans, so I decided to do a remake where a cisgender guy doesn't set out to become a hot girl but ends up stuck as one anyhow. That's a much happier ending, I'd say!

This is really cool. At this writing my sexy parody edit of the French film Le Miracle de la Vie has nearly 100,000 views, and recently I had a whim to see if I could track down the creators of the original film and see what they thought of it. I managed to find an email address for Nicolas Beauchamp (who co-directed the film with Alexandra Pic, who also starred in it) and I sent off the following email.

Hello, Mr. Beauchamp. I don't know if you speak English at all, so I'll start with a Google translation of my email and follow with a version in English, my own language. I hope that at least one version will make sense for you!

Last year I saw your film, The Miracle of Life. I was fascinated by the film but I don't speak French at all, so to me the story was very mysterious. Why were all of these women suddenly pregnant? What were they saying? I had no idea.

I was inspired to create a whole new sci-fi story for the film, using subtitles of my own devising. My version involves a mysterious worldwide outbreak of pregnancy for women AND men. (Men all over the world suddenly become women, and everybody is pregnant.) As of this writing, my edit of the film has 95,000+ views on Youtube.

I've always been curious to know what the creators of the original film would think of my very strange remake. (I imagine it's even stranger for people who actually speak French, and know what's REALLY going on in your film!) It was done as a tribute of sorts to your film, and I don't earn money from it in any way. It was a very silly project for me, but I had great fun doing it and people seem to really enjoy it. My hope is that you will be flattered to know that your film has been remixed and enjoyed in a new way by many people.

Someday I hope to encounter a subtitled version of your film, because I really am very curious to know what's happening! For me your film is like something from a dream, inexplicable and wonderful.

A few days later I was thrilled to receive an email from Ms. Pic herself. Here's an excerpt:

We both (Nicolas and I, Alexandra) read your email this morning with a very strange feeling … a parodie of our short movie ?! We never expected such an enthusiasm.

So we went on your site to see the result, still surprised by the number of views. And we admit that your interpretation is funny, and not so far from our real version, which is already based on fantasy.

So we first want to give you more informations about that movie.

Nicolas and I decided to write this story when I was pregnant (for real) of our first child, and France was then running for its next president; You may know that our social system is a wonderful one and many politics want to close the frontiers, based on the wrong idea that immigrants would ruin our system. Many studies say that on the contrary no system in Europe would be viable without immigration.
Our story is just the imaginary situation of our country, if they had closed the frontiers. Mixed to the incredible madness of our politicians.

We produced the filming, and ended the short movie in 2010. We sold it to an italian channel, from RTI, and also to a french channel « Orange » for their web site. We were then one of the most viewed.

The movie has had a beautiful life in International Festivals and we also got an award for it at the Rochester Festival, USA.

After that, we decided for different reasons, not to post it on the internet. And so we really wondered this morning how you got our movie!

It was a real surprised to realize that someone posted it 2 years ago on youtube and an amazing surprise to see that more than 500,000 persons saw it!

As it seems to be a constant request, we will create a web site with all the informations about the movie, the crew, and its story. We already have a subtitled version, so it will be on line soon.

I'm so glad to find out that they were amused by my version, instead of offended or creeped out. I know I'm not the only one who will be eagerly looking forward to the subtitled version of their film. If it's this delightful when we can't even understand what the women are saying, imagine what a treat it will be when we can!
