Matty lives with her husband and three dogs in Chester County, Pennsylvania, and enjoys vacationing on Mount Desert Island, Maine, and Sedona, Arizona, and these locations provide the settings for her work. Matty is a member of Sisters in Crime and the Brandywine Valley Writers Group.

Secondary Characters You Love (or Love to Hate)

At a thriller writers conference last year, David Corbett called out the movie MICHAEL CLAYTON as an excellent example of development of secondary characters. I finally got a chance to watch the movie, and he was right. (How could you go wrong with the likes of Tom Wilkinson, Sydney Pollack, and a very unlikeable Tilda Swinton?)
